MM1 Universal Camera Microphone Super-Cardioid Shotgun Microphone with Shock Mount for Camera, Consumer, Camcorder iPhone, Android Smartphones

I am a volunteer secretary at a local organization and responsible for taking notes and creating minutes. Before using this microphone to help me with recording the meetings, I was under the stress of old style note taking, concern about potential forgotten details. I began recording with just my phone and the voices would get lost under the shuffle of paper or chairs being moved from one place to another. Since adding this microphone to my arsenal I have not had the lost voices issue and have not had any problems missing information. As a matter of fact, letting the mic and the phone do the recording, I am free to listen and actively participate of the meetings. The mic recording is very clear and does not require of any special attachements.

Good mic for vlogging, sound quality is clear if a little bassy at times. I bought it for concerts, which I should have read a little more on the specs as it does clip at loud volumes. No fault except my own there, the mic does its job very well.

I should start by pointing out that I own lots of pro audio gear, and this is certainly not serious professional quality. But for the money, this kit is amazing! And the types of cameras this is intended for really could not possibly support bigger, heavier, power-hungry pro microphones anyway. I purchased this to keep on hand for my Canon G7X III. I bought a metal bracket for that camera that adds a couple of cold shoes, so this mounts perfectly to that configuration. I've paid more for a similar accessory windscreen alone than what this whole kit costs. For smartphones or compact cameras, this represents a significant upgrade in sound quality and directionality. Make no mistake, though: this is not a serious shotgun microphone. So don't expect it to magically give you broadcast quality audio from great distances. But for vlogging or shooting close to a subject, this does wonders to improve sound.

The microphone was mid. It was only amazing in calm settings. I organize events every once in a while and needed this mic to capture audio from my events. The audio feed was very distorted and sounded horrible. This mic only works in settings where there isn't a ton of noise.

Terrible for anything outside. While this might be OK for sensitive recording environments, anything above 80dB will cause overload and static. The build quality is nice, but the hardware is not usable. Definitely do not get this if you want to do some vehicle recording.

Overall for the price this is good buy. Pros are it cuts down on back noise. Also would be great for recording voiceovers on phone. Cons I would say I don’t think it picks up well from much distance which is the reason you would want a shotgun mic. For the price I say it’s great! Also I love the look and the windscreen!

Funciona muy bien! Agarra todos los graves y hace que el sonido quede mejor. Muy bonito, fácil de usar y manejar. Lo recomiendo.

Microfone de excelente qualidade, reduz bastante os sons externos e o eco. Para minha finalidade, gravar vídeos com o iPhone na sala de casa que reverbera muito, melhorou e muito. Quanto mais próximo do falante e mais direcionado pra ele melhor. Não espere um som de cinema, mas para criadores que precisam de um som mais direcional, excelente.

Ich habe mit meiner Digitalkamera ein Video gedreht, bei Wind. Außer den Windgeräuschen war nichts zu hören. Da meine Kamera einen Audioanschluss besitzt habe ich mir dieses Mikrofon gekauft und es nicht bereut. Fazit nach mehreren Tests: Fast keine Windgeräusche mehr. Bei leichten Wind absolut kein Problem. Bei stürmischen Wind kommen leise die Windgeräusche durch. Aber die Stimmen und anderen Geräusche im Video waren verständlich. Aber die Windgeräusche ganz zu unterdrücken finde ich nicht so gut, man sieht ja nicht nur das Video, sondern hört es auch, und da sollte man auch die Windgeräusche hören, aber eben in sehr abgeschwächter Form. Für mich optimal.

Microfono mini shotgun direzionale, realizzato in alluminio, con un ottimo suono. Presenta il cavo di collegamento sia per smartphone che per dsrl/mirrorles, gatto morto ben realizzato e supporto reycot per evitare le vibrazioni. E' un ottimo microfono economico e di piccole dimensioni adatto a chi inizia. La costruzione risulta molto buona ed è utilizzabile con praticamente qualunque fotocamera/smatphone (in caso di iphone accertarsi di avere l'ingresso da 3.5 o in alternativa bisogna avere necessariamente un adattatore lightninh/jack 3.5mm). Rispetto alla controparte rode tende ad enfatizzare le frequenze medio basse e questo lo rende molto valido per registrare la voce. Il supporto è un pò più rigido rispetto al rode e questo è un punto leggermente negativo in quanto assorbe meno le vibrazioni. Utilizzandolo all esterno con una buona dose di vento si comporta molto bene a passo che vi sia installato sopra il gatto morto, oltre una certa soglia di vento invece inizia a clipare ma giustamente non può fare miracoli! Per la cifra che costa funziona ben oltre le aspettative!! Lo consiglio molto caldamente a chi deve registrare dell audio ambientale, interviste e in tutti quegli ambiti in cui si è abbastanza vicini alla fonte sonora, per altre situazioni conviene prendere ovviamente qualcosa di diverso

The microphone comes with two adapters, one for camera’s and one for phones. This also comes with a leather case and dead cat. The dead cat reduces white noise significantly and clears up the audio a lot. It also makes the audio very clear and slightly louder which is exactly what I was looking for! I was concerned that the plastic bit would snap but as long as your gentle with the product you shouldn’t have any issues!
