UPDATE: the black PLA is quite good. the white is still just ok.
UPDATE: Amazon does not let me do a separate review for the black PLA, so I am updating this one. I like the black PLA a lot. The surface finish can be a smooth matte black at lower temperatures or glossy at higher. It does have a tendency to warp on smooth steel along with textured PEI, I have to use gluestick and turn the print fan down. But that totally depends on your print surface and other factors, I cannot say for sure if that is a universal issue with Overture Black PLA. Overall I would give the black PLA a 4.5 out of 5 and the white PLA a 4 out of 5. It is some of the better PLA I've used. --- Older review for the white PLA --- These spools claim a consistent diameter of 1.75 give or take 0.05. Most spools I buy claim the same however I have not once actually /seen/ this amount of variance when measuring the diameter. Most spools seem to measure lows and highs of 1.73 - 1.76. Within a one foot stretch of this filament I can see 1.70 to 1.8mm depending on where I measure. That is within the product's described tolerance so I cannot fault it for that. But I cannot wonder if it is the cause of the slight variance in printed layers that is visible when under direct light. Printed 210/72 Prusa MK3S with full Bear Upgrade, textured PEI sheet. Pictures are after some basic extrusion multiplier adjustment and LA calibration @ .2mm layer height. Like any filament purchase there are far too many variables to judge quality off of the finished print. Not to mention differences in color and batch. I have had small difficulties with adhesion but again that could just be me. I have not yet tried the black roll that I ordered. So to summarize, if you see it and it's cheap and you aren't nutty about quality or consistency, it's fine. However it is not my favorite. It is OK and gets the job done.

worth every penny, flawless printing with no clogs or hiccups at all!
Honestly some of the nicest printing pla I've ever used. I went through the entire roll, from start to finish in 1 large print and at the end I had 3ft left on the roll. And not a single problem! no clogs, no gaps in my print, not even a disfiguring in my tree supports. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone using a flashforge adventurer 5m printer. It's some of the smoothest printing PLA out there, it even did better than my creality or FF pla.

Works well on Bambu A1, with some easy tweaks
Worked well in my Bambu Lab A1, with some slight tweaks. I found that lowering the nozzle temp to 210, and keeping the heatbed on 65 or 70 let this print perfectly. If using the stock Overture settings on the A1 I had some adhesion issues, and would get some stringing on larger flat surfaces, but the settings I mentioned above cleared that right up. Very affordable filament and looks great when printed.

Great
The OVERTURE PLA Filament 1.75mm PLA 3D Printer White Filament has an excellent print quality, with a beautiful finish and great grip on the table. The colors are vivid and the final result is very professional, especially for detailed projects. I just noticed that the winding of the filament on the reel was not done in such an organized way, and sometimes the PLA can get taden during printing. Even so, adjusting and monitoring in the first layers, I got great results. Overall, it is a filament with great cost-benefit and very satisfactory performance.

Reliable, Smooth‑Feeding PLA That Just Works
The OVERTURE PLA Filament has been consistently solid for me. It prints cleanly, holds dimensions well, and has been dependable from spool to spool. What stands out most is how smoothly it feeds through my Ender 3 Pro—no snags, no grinding, no moisture‑related headaches. It just runs, which is exactly what you want when you’re in the middle of a print. Color is uniform, adhesion is predictable, and overall print quality has been great. A dependable everyday filament that earns its spot on the shelf.

Works great for basic printing
I'm a low-tech 3d printing novice. I have a Lotmaxx Shark open-air printer. This filament works very well with my printer. I mostly use it to print jigs and clamps for woodworking and CNC work. The pieces are tough and do what I need them to do very well. My daughter likes old tech and wanted a cassette tape case for Christmas. I designed the racks for cassette tapes to go in a wooden cabinet, and used this filament to print them. They came out really nice...no warping, very square, and nice smooth lines. I'm very happy with the ease of use and cost of this filament. My printer lives in my basement in Missouri, so humidity is a fact of life. I would probably benefit from keeping this filament in a sealed bag when not in use, but to be honest I've left it on the printer for months at a time and it just keeps working perfectly. The seller packages the filament very well and ships promptly. Five stars!

Excellent Material
I have used many different brands of PLA and my usual "go-to" was no longer Prime so I thought I'd give this a shot. Pros: Prints fantastic, layer adhesion is excellent, build plate adhesion is...well see below, filament appears to be very uniform in size. Free build plate surface (has a con, see below) Free ruler Cons: I took the included build plate surface, stuck it to my borosilicate glass bed that I have been printing on for over 4 years using glue sticks. Very nice surface! Printed a lithophane lamp shade and proceeded to have to destroy my glass to get it unstuck. I tried every trick in the book, heating the bed to 110c, using a Gizmodorks removal tool, putting the whole thing in a deep freeze for 10 hours and nothing. In the end the glass finally gave up the battle, broke and piece by very tiny little piece I was able to pick away the glass and the building surface. So, in the end, I would highly recommend this filament however if you are going to use the included building surface, make some small test prints and adjust your bed adhesion layer till you find the happy medium between adhesion and removal. For my printer and settings, I start with 210c hot end and 70c bed for first layer then drop to 200c and 60c the rest of the print with no cooling. Very happy with the results!
