fingers crossed that I continue to see improvements (because it’s pretty expensive)
PROS -I _think_ it’s working (I really need to be more scientific about this and treat only one side of my body, but I’m a bit desperate) CONS -quite expensive NOTES -I suffer from a number of skin conditions, and I’ve had docs suggest slathering myself with various types of dandruff shampoo (the ones that attack demodex). They keep things down, but nothing I’ve used has “cured” me (I can’t stop treatment without the inflammation returning). This product gives me about the same efficacy, I’m looking forward to extended treatment and seeing if that gets rid of my symptoms once and for all. MY STAR RATINGS: 1* substandard, mostly cons 2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros 3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros 4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons 5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros

So far, so good
So far, I think I'm getting pretty good results with this two stage treatment which comprises of a cleanser and the actual treatment. I should have taken a before and after pic but my skin definitely seems to be getting clearer after little more than one week. It is simple enough to fit into my routine, both bottles are 125ml each so I'd estimate them lasting at least two if not three months with careful use. I hope the improvements continue and if they do, I may well consider purchasing another set but at £208 it will definitely need to prove that it is worth it. At the moment, they are. 4 stars not 5 purely due to the premium pricepoint but the product itself I have no complaints about at this stage.

seems to be working for my rosacea
The Ungex Demodex Solution Basic Kit is designed to help with issues like acne, rosacea, itching and that uncomfortable crawling sensation linked to Demodex mites. It’s easy to apply as part of a skincare routine and the products so far have felt gentle on my skin. Haven't noticed a phenomenal change in my skin but its certainly lessening some red areas.

The product is amazing for someone really in need. Why didn't I know about this sooner! Unfortunately, the pics are misrepresenting what you recieve but this is no slight on the product. You don't recieve the Pro spray it's the SDT spray in this pack. The pro pack is $470 aus But, this lighter spray still works!

So... I don't have any symptoms of demodex. I didn't even know it existed before I was offered this set from Ungex, but looking into what they were scared me so bad I ended up requesting it as a preventive measure. The cleanser smells like tea tree oil, but it didn't cause me any irritation, nor did it cause notable dryness or tightness. I have read that the ingredients are effective against demodex, both in terms of treatment and prevention. I plan to include these in my skincare routine on an intermittent basis to avoid any breakouts and to stretch the quantity that you receive. I'm docking a star because of how crazy expensive these are, I'm not sure, based on the ingredients, why they should cost quite so much. Maybe it was research costs or something, but that's a wild amount to pay for any skincare product, especially an over the counter one, and I indulge in my fair share of luxury skincare. The spray is interesting; the instructions don't make it clear if it's intended to be used on your skin or only on objects that might have demodex living on them. It says to "spray directly on affected areas" and then says "spray on upholstery items like combs, pillow cases, and towels." I'm not sure if "affected areas" means on your body or in your home. The cap has a note that you can use it to dilute the mixture for sensitive skin, though, which implies it can be used on skin, so I took one for the team and just sprayed it directly on my beautiful face. It also smells like tea tree oil, and it burns a little bit, though I'm not seeing much if any visible irritation. I think maybe it is intended mostly to be used on things besides your skin, but I could be wrong. They could make the instructions much clearer. This set is manufactured in Australia.

My teenager's been battling stubborn acne that wouldn't budge with regular products. After researching demodex mites (fascinating and slightly horrifying rabbit hole), we decided to try this kit. The science made sense—target the root cause, not just the symptoms. The cleanser has this medicinal tea tree scent that screams "I mean business." My teen uses it nightly, and the treatment spray goes on after. The routine took some getting used to - it's not as simple as slapping on benzoyl peroxide and calling it done. 🌿 After six weeks, I'd say we saw about 40% improvement. The angry red patches calmed down considerably, and the texture improved. Not the miracle cure we hoped for, but noticeable progress. The itchiness that drove them crazy at night? Almost completely gone. It's pricey for something that didn't completely solve the problem. But watching my teenager gain back some confidence from clearer skin? Worth continuing the journey. Sometimes progress looks like better, not perfect, and that's okay.

Didn’t really help me much at all, if any; and they’re SUPER EXPENSIVE for such a TINY BOTTLE! Wished I had my money back.

I have itchy, sensitive skin and rosacea. It can be quite frustrating to deal with, so I wondered if this might be an avenue to explore. Unfortunately, there are really no magic ingredients in this other than things you can try for much less money. Plus, there are some ingredients, especially in the spray, that can cause contact reactions in sensitive skin. Other than the excessive price, I am OK with the cleanser with the caveat that it is essential oil rich, which even though "natural," they can cause reactions to sensitive skin. So far, my skin is tolerating it, but contact irritation can take time to develop. It has some botanicals that are good for skin, like licorice root and rosemary extracts, in addition to the eucalyptus and tea tree oil. It has added fragrance, which can be problematic since the ingredients are not disclosed. The scent is unsurprisingly very tea tree and eucalyptus forward, but it doesn't overly linger to my sensitive nose. The spray, on the other hand, has ingredients that are more problematic. One reviewer questioned whether this was to be used on the skin, but indeed, it is. It's also meant to be used on items like pillow cases and towels. It is quite strongly scented with a prominent initial floral note from the geraniol and an underlying tea tree scent that becomes more prominent as it sits on the skin. The scent lingers, but it does wash off thankfully (it was distractingly strong for me when I tested on my hand). But, my real problem with the spray are a couple of the preservatives. There are concerns that iodopropynyl butylcarbamate is toxic if inhaled, so it really shouldn't be used in aerosolized or inhaled products, and this is a spray! Diazolidinyl urea gets press because it's a formaldehyde-releasing preservative (likely the amounts are so low as not to be as alarming as that sounds), but the main issue with it is that it can cause irritation and allergies, especially in those with a compromised skin barrier, which is common in people with itchy skin and rosacea. Overall, there is some evidence that the essential oils used might be helpful for those who can tolerate them, but instead of the spray, you could buy coconut oil and mix a drop in of the essential oils if you're not allergic (mix at each use so you don't have to worry about preservatives). If the coconut oil is slightly warmed, you could even make a spray for items. Similarly, you could also use your favorite cleanser and add a drop of the respective essential oils for much less money. On a side note, the spray likely works well as a mosquito repellent since geraniol has been shown to have repellent activity. Because I don't want to use this on my skin, and the scent is a bit too much for me on my pillowcase or sheets, I plan to use it on pants legs near the ankles, etc, to help repel mosquitoes. I'm hoping with outdoor usage, I can limit any inhalation concerns.
