Physics Science Lab Basic Circuits kit for Junior/Senior High School Students, Stem Christmas Toys for Kids 13 Years Old

Used it to teach electricity to 5th-7th graders for the first time. They loved the hands on of creating their own light circuits with the add ons like amplifier, motor, etc. I liked that it came with what you needed to teach the basics of magnetism in order to build on that for electricity. It comes with a handy little book that goes over one circuit at a time. Some of it is not detailed but if you re teaching the class you may have other resources to help you use the items. overall this is very easy to use after a video or two from YouTube. Bill Nye the science guy has some good videos my kids enjoyed. These concepts allowed them to build their own car motorized by a fan and small motor. You can get the kits here on amazon too. We bought the 6 set dc motor kit and the EUDAX set. Both worked well. May want to buy extra rubber bands, rods, and wheels depending on how many kids...The only thing I was bummed was we could not get the bell to work... thinking it is broken... we will be using again for next year and will try to figure something out bc the bell can add fun and education to a circuit. A plus is the storage container. It’s keeping everything tidy for next year and had room to leave the AA batteries in a ziplock in there too waiting for the next fun class!

I was pleased that all the components are fair quality. Without abuse, I expect them to last indefinitely.My only disappointment is that the photos in the manual are small and black and white. That makes it tough to track the circuit. If I could find the manual elsewhere as PDF this kit would be the best value on amazon.

My 7 year old son, who is a level 2 autistic, absolutely loves this kit! It gives him the grown-feel of tinkering with real science - not some patronizing kiddo stuff that doesn't let him explore his potential. There are many facets to this kit that will he will continue to learn from as he gets older, such as the electricity meters that he has yet investigate. He feels proud of himself when he figures out how to sequence the batteries and make the lights turn on and magnetize things. He has surpassed my knowledge in this field at this point, thanks to this kit - and now I can't help him when he gets stuck on something cause it's far beyond me now. The instructions need to be improved on the account of the pictures being WAY too small and with it being black and white - it's just difficult to understand so there is much tinkering to find your way around but hey, most hands-on kids like to tinker their way to the solution anyways. Good purchase.

Inside the toolbox-like container (which I liked) were the battery holder, wires, light bulbs, sockets, and several other items I could not identify nor were they mentioned in the instruction manual. That manual was very difficult to work with, one reason being that the pictures are very small, fuzzy, and in black and white. You can't see the interconnecting wiring in any pictures. I think there were some items missing.

The product is going to work great for basic electrical teaching. A improvement would be important info state on components that must be regulated with a resistor to prevent damage. The instructions state this, however markings on the components would be helpful.

This is an instructional E & M kit, and while the selection of components is reasonable for the purpose, the quality is very poor. One component on the list (the electrode vessel) was missing, and most of the set is made of somewhat pliant plastic and thin sheet metal, which makes the electromechanical components close to unusable. I had to tweak the motor quite a bit to bring the rotor into alignment, and to position the brushes properly. I could not get the bell to operate with any consistency, due to the overall shoddiness of the manufacture, and I am not a novice at such work.One cannot expect too great a robustness in educational toys, but this product was obviously slapped from first draft into production, without prototyping or testing. The main lesson it teaches is not to do things this way.

Product was cheaply made and didn’t work. The batteries even overheated And burned me.
