MODERN WAVE Central Air Conditioner Cover for Outside Units 36 x 36 - Top Universal Outdoor AC Cover Defender (Mesh, 36" x 36")

This is a great product. My house is surrounded by trees, even though I do not have trees the condenser seems attract leaves. I recently replaced my Central AC unit and didn't want leaves and stuff to collect in it. It is easy to install and has been holding up in the frigid weather.

The manufacturer of my new AC compressor unit did not offer a top cover assembly for keeping the upcoming loads of fall leaves from the many neighbors' trees off of the unit. I wanted to get a cover that would help. This little jewel of a cover offered the same level of protection and was just as effective and highly recommended, so I got one at a WAY LOWER cost compared to an aftermarket top cover ($$$) assembly from another source. The fit and finish were excellent and in 5 minutes was good to go. The lightweight material and the bungie-cord straps made the installation easy. The top hooks of the cords through the grommets worked perfectly but the bottom hooks had to be bent open slightly to hook through the slotted side air flow panels. Cleaning is easy if any leaves or debris collects on the top, the stuff can be easily swept off during the time when the compressor fan is not running.

Debated about getting one of these, but we have trees with tiny leaves right across from our air conditioner unit. It was tight and worked well. The only problem I had was getting the hooks to hook onto the sides of the unit. I had to twist them and push to get them to hook on and removing them was more challenging. Probably could use a better way to attach to the unit, but overall was satisfied with my purchase.

This covers my AC unit perfectly. Will definitely prevent leaves and debris from falling inside the unit as was happening before.

This air conditioner cover fits my Rheem 5-ton unit perfectly. It was so easy to put on. I reached out to customer service about something and was very impressed with their quick response.

Works well, provides needed protection,, stays in place and is a great size.. the fabric/material is good quality as are the enclosed bungee cords and metal grommets on corners of cover. Wish they included a pic of the attached cover... lol, hubby tried to align all corners so it was squared to the square shape of the a/c unit... it didn't fit well.. I looked at the photo online and told him to cut corners, install sides on corners of unit and corners on sides of unit (like photo)... of course he said it wouldn't work that way so after he went back in the house I re-installed and it fit perfectly, lol.

This cover does exactly what it's supposed to do, which is keep leaves and other debris out of the condenser unit without trapping in moisture or being a home for animals/bugs. I put it on after I was done using my AC for the year, and plan to take it off before turning the AC on again, so I can't say how it does when the unit is operating, but it has held up perfectly through high winds, frost and ice, rain, and leafblowing. If your outside unit is off for half the year like mine is, I can't think of any reason not to use this cover.
