Q: How much is this kit?

You are purchasing the plans only. You will need to get an estimate for the building from a contractor or materials supplier.

Q: what is the snow load for these plans?

The roof is a 12x12 pitch on a 2x4 stud wall. I'm sure if you were to Google this pitch in area, it could tell you the load bearing capabilities.

Q: Can the loft be eliminated and will the cabin still be stable?

The plans call for 3 support beams running the width of the cabin. These supports are 6x6 posts on 12"x24" pads. (One would hold to the center of the loft area.). **These, along with exterior walls would hold the roof in place. Removing the loft would decrease the weight bore on one of these support beams, but it's unclear to me whether it would change the structure's load bearing capabilities. To me, less weight would be preferable, and not a hindrance. But, seeing that I am no architect....I can not clearly determine if the removal of the loft would make the structure less secure. Sorry.

Q: Are the exterior walls 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 construction?

The exterior walls are 2x6 and the interior are 2x4.
