Best boot ive ever owned. FAR EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!
This boot has FAR exceeded my expectations!! Ive had them for going on 3 years now. Many hiking, kayaking, mudlarking, rockhounding trips have been had in these and STILL going strong. Very comfy, VERY DURABLE and very waterproof. Ill be buying another pair without a doubt IF/when these give out. 100/10.

Great traction and built to last
These boots were comfortable right out of the box. I use them for work and I work on very rough terrain and they have been comfortable with great traction. Easy to put on and lace up and easy to take off as well. I have no complaints or problems with these boots and would buy them again.

Solid and Comfortable
First time ordering boots online. Usually wear 11, but took other reviewer's advice to get half a size down, not only for a better fit, but I noticed that anything above 10.5 didn't register as genuine leather? Not sure if this is a glitch or not, maybe Rocky could clarify this? Anyways, I wanted genuine leather so I got the 10.5W. The boots didn't need to be broken in, they were quite comfortable right out of the box, fit well with both thick wool socks as well as regular crew socks. I walk for an average of 7-10 hours a day and have no issues. Stitching is great, laces seem fine (we'll see how long they last), Gore-Tex is a plus, color is true to the photos, love the Moccasin look. All I'm going to do is coat them in mink oil for general care. Great product so far, we'll see how long I can keep them for.

Great boot.
I love these boots. Size fits true and the quality is awesome. Boots leather are not too thick to be uncomfortable but the thickness is enough to keep your feet warm. Tread on boots gives you traction on all kind of terrain. Will buy again when these wear out, but so far great value for the money cause they are not showing much wear.

Very well made hiking boots.
My first pair lasted 2 years. Everyday wear. Will still use old pair for gardening. The stitching on the particular model of Rocky boots is superior to any pair of hiking boots I ever owned. The shoelaces on the old pair are still intact and never replaced. They gave more than adequate ankle support and the waterproofing I can stand by as I never had wet socks while wearing. The thickness of leather and quality are exceptional.

Poor quality control and durability questions
Pros: Very comfortable boot right out of the box. Great fit and the leather was very pliable. Took it for a short hike and had no issues at all. Did not test the waterproof possibility of this boot. If it wasn't for the quality control issues, I would have kept this boot. Cons: Quality control is severely lacking. On the right boot, where the gore-tex fabric is stitched into the boot was poorly done. After the first hike the stitching was coming undone. It was apparent this would need to be repaired immediately or the problem would only worsen. Oddly enough the place where the stitching was really falling apart was marked with a Quality Control sticker! Upon further inspection, the stitching wasn't much better in the left boot. It was still intact but looked like it would fail in the near future. Upon further inspection found another issues with the stitching of the leather on the inside of the right boot. The stitch was place outside of where it was supposed to be and it was plain to see this stitch would most likely get torn or cut during a hike and would place the rest of the stitching for the boot in jeopardy. The first few pictures on the Amazon page for this boot show a full leather tongue. This was most likely true in an older version of this boot. The tongues on the pairs I received are now made of fabric. Upon further inspection of reviews for this boot from Amazon and other websites, it is also apparent the glue Rocky uses for their boots is not what it used to be and can fail after some use requiring the owner to purchase another pair of boots. The durability that used to be there with Rocky, appears to no longer be there. Because of the issues with the pair I bought and questions about durability, I decided to return the boots. If it wasn't for the multiple stitching issues, I probably would have held on to them because they were very comfortable. If I'm going to pay over $100 for a pair of boots, I'd like them to last. I have a pair of old leather hiking boots that have lasted over 10 years and recently their stitching was finally giving up. I was hoping to replace them with something that would last nearly as long. I don't think these will. It's possible they could last if they were consistently made better. The fact there are issues makes me question if I can trust this brand.
