Effective Systemic Insecticide That Works Well on Lawns and Ornamentals
I used this insecticide and was very pleased with the results. It worked quickly and reduced the number of pests around my lawn and ornamental plants. It was easy to mix and apply, and the coverage goes a long way with just a small amount of concentrate. Key strengths: Systemic action controls insects by treating the plant from the inside out Effective on grubs, chinch bugs, and other common turf pests Easy to mix and spray with standard lawn equipment Long lasting control compared to many contact insecticides Cost effective since the concentrate stretches across large areas Limitations: Needs careful mixing to avoid waste or overapplication Should not be used on edible plants which limits its use in vegetable gardens Bottom line: This is a powerful and reliable generic Merit insecticide that delivers excellent control over lawn and ornamental pests. I liked how effective it was and will keep using it for ongoing turf management.

Has helped save my ash trees from emerald ash bores for a few years.
Our region is infested with emerald ash bores. I have 6 mature ash trees that were starting to show that they were infested but had not started to scale bark yet. I have treated the trees 3 years now and all but 1 are looking pretty good. Hopefully this has saved the trees. Only time will tell. I used the drench method to treat the trees. I dig a shallow trench about 12" from the base of the tree, put the recommended amount of chemical (based on size of tree) in a 5 gal bucket, fill about 2/3 with water and slowly pour into the trench around the tree. Very easy to do.

Effectively does the trick but be careful for use around pets.
Very effective but be careful with the application. Our small King Charles Cavalier Spaniels thought this was candy. No adverse side effects, but don't leave it exposed for pets to get to.

Louper control
I used this on my bougainvilleas to control louper worms and it worked reasonably well. The directions are confusing though. I had to use much more than called for.

Annual Tree Root Soak
I've been using the Bioadvanced consumer product with 1.5% Imidacloprid annually with great results. Issue is this material is expensive and costs me ~$300 annually to treat all of my deciduous trees and large shrubs. This material has 21.8% Imidacloprid (~15x concentration). This is a much better value and works equally well. A little bit of this material goes a long way.

Saved my plant collection from thrips
I had a thrip infestation in my collection. All my plants were infected to the point where new leaves could not grow normally. Old leaves were yellowing and dropping. I tried spraying with insecticidal soap but the infestation was too much. I bought the Imidacloprid and mixed 0.6ml in every gallon of water. Took all my plants outside, sprayed the leaves and drenched the soil. Within a day the thrips were dead. This is a systemic pesticide so spraying the soil would suffice, but would take a bit longer. I sprayed the leaves too so it can spread up the process. Within a week, my plants’ new leaves were no longer mangled from thrips. I also used this in my greenhouse. Most of my plants don’t attract bees so I was more comfortable using it there as well. The mealybugs took longer to kill so I did a second treatment a week later. In my photo, you can see two new perfect leaves growing (after treatment) and a messed up leaf (in the back) from before treatment.

Northwest Azaleas Need This Product!
Wow, for years I've watched my Azaleas struggle to thrive here in Oregon where the climate is ideal for them to grow. But they always looked pretty poor. A couple months ago I went to a nursery with a sample of my sickly plants and they pointed me to systemic insecticide. That led to me trying this product. What a difference, like night and day! All these years I've been clueless about the need for systemic insecticide in northwest Azaleas. If you want perfect plants, try this product. I can say with confidence, this is must-have if you want healthy, vibrant Azaleas. I know that it's costly, but man does it work!

Concentrated product
Concentrated insecticide. Be sure how and when to use. Have to read all the instructions deligently. Great insecticide if you know how to use properly.
