The Conjuring Universe – Ultimate Crooked Man - 7" Scale Action Figure

To start, my rating is of the figure itself and not of the shoddy packaging amazon used to send me the figure. My box looked like somebody curb stomped it. As for the figure itself, I am very pleased at the job Neca managed. It’s one of those cases where the final product more than lives up to the early production shots. While I am not a huge fan of the conjuring or even the conjuring 2 where this figure has been transferred from, I have to say that even during the initial announcement, I was excited for this figure. If one thing can be said about this, it’s that it really stands out next to other horror figures. The figure comes with 3 head sculpts (and his hat), one large crooked umbrella, a zoetrope with an actual strip of “the dancing crooked man”, and 5 interchangeable hands in total. A nice new trend with Neca figures is that many of the new ones don’t even need to be heated before they are posed, which can also be said for this one. However, in the event you have stuck joints for any figure, I highly recommend you use a blow dryer or hot water to heat them up. Articulation includes a ball peg for the head (with a skinny peg for easy head replacement), hinged upper arms that can turn 360 deg, double jointed elbow with swivels at both ends, hinged hands, ball peg in the torso, hinged legs that can turn as far as the sculpt allows and swivel a little bit, hinged knees with a swivel, and ball joints in the ankles that allows for a particularly good range of motion for a Neca figure. The lines on his suit are spot on, the details in general are fantastic, and the sculpt is entirely unique and very well done. The zoetrope is notable for being very detailed and it even has a turntable crank and the top is obviously turntable as well, but I would advise caution with the handle. The only negatives are that the hands come off to easily and are very similar in that aspect to deadite Ed in the Evil Dead 2 two-pack. All in all, I would recommend this for being a visually distinct figure as well as a good example of a Neca figure done right. Also, it should be noted that since this figure is very skinny, things like his fingers and joints are also very thin, which means that they can break. This is meant to be a collectible for adults, so I personally would not recommend you get this for a child.

This is a great quality figure for the price, with a great selection of accessories. My son (13) is very pleased to add this to his horror figure collection.

It's perfect. I just recently got into the conjuring movies so I really like this. His legs were a bit stiff but nothing a little warm water won't fix

The figure outstanding, packaging not so much. I get this in the mail and I am really excited. I open the box and there is a big dent on the top left corner. The figure and it’s accessories alone perfect condition. Looks just like from the movies. It also came on time with an a descant price. I buy a lot of figures from neca all the time. But this is the first time for a damaged package.

My boys young... and I know you're supposed to collect em, but he loves it even tho his glasses broke etc..neca has perfect details
