Super K with Advanced K2 Complex - 90 ct

This is a fantastic combination of nutrients for skin, bone growth and arterial health in my opinion. I have osteopenia bordering on osteoporosis, awful skin problems from having to use testosterone, heart disease "kills" in my family on both sides, and biopsied precancerous Barrett's disease. Some fairly serious health issues. I have used every prescription bone density prescription available, including prolia injections and 2 years of daily injected forteo with only 7% increase in bone deposit improvement. My cholesterol if left untreated is in the 300 category. I take a powerful acid producing inhibitor due to arthritis medications causing bleeding ulcers. After doing mega reading and research I came accross the benefits of a combination vitamin K. I trust Life extensions products and liked the process used for manufacturing the final product. Life extentions has all the correct multi vitamin k's we need from correct first sources. It is not the by product of some other fist source nutrient or food. That matters to me. A bit pricy but considering the research done by this company for purity and the science that is needed to produce a superior supplement, I think you get what you pay for. Great product you can trust with proven blood test results, which I have every 3 months. Be aware fermented soy is used in this formula, if you are soy allergic or sensitive such as breast cancer talk to your Dr. This supplement has loads of vitamin k activity and you take one easy to swallow soft gel cap daily. Works well for me!

I started taking Super K 5 years ago to keep the calcium out of all the soft tissues of the body including heart valves. My elderly aunt had calcified valves and needed to have them replaced-she didn't make it. After some research, super K seemed to be the answer. An interesting aside, rat studies showed reduction of plaque build-up in the arteries of the body including the coronary arteries after they were fed MK4 (which Super K has). I was excited because I had recently gone to Lifeline Screening and they said I had mild build-up in my carotid artery. I thought, I'll test this on myself, take Super K faithfully everyday and go retest in a few years. Three years went by and I decided to go back to Lifeline Screening and have their battery of tests including the carotid artery sonogram. After the test was done he said the carotid arteries were clear. I asked for a recheck due to family history and he really gave it a hard look and said, all clear! I really was stunned, hopeful yes, but really stunned. This Super K is really a great product.

I have been taking these pills for a little over 6 weeks. I am a 72 year old male. I was bruising easily; that already is much, much improved. My skin on my forearms was dry to the point that it itched; if I scratched 5 times in the same place, it bruised or bled; that is gone. Bruising from blows still occurs but is much less now. I have been using steroids for 20 years to heal keratosis on my face; the Super K works much better than the steroids. It's too early to see an increase in the enamel on my teeth, but I am confident that will also occur by taking NOW Foods Vitamin D3 5000 Iu, 240 Softgels in combination. I am also very confident this will remove the calcium from my arteries and place it in my bones, preventing osteoporosis. I take many supplements; this supplement has provided more noticeable results than all the others put together. It is a WONDER PILL.

I've been using this product for quite awhile and have been pleased with it. But Life Extension, more than just about any other supplement brand, seems to feel compelled to tweak their formulations every year or two. And often this seems to be via increasing the amount of the key ingredients -- even though "more" isn't necessarily better, and sometimes might even be detrimental for a variety of reasons. Well, it looks like they're at it again, this time with Super K. This product already contained a generous dose (100 mcg) of the most important component, Vitamin K2-menaq7. But now it looks like they've doubled it to 200 mcg. Why? Most single-ingredient K2-menaq7 products contain either 45 mcg or 90 mcg, with the latter being a "higher dose." In fact, I don't think I've ever seen another product above 100 mcg. While LEF's change gives me pause I'll keep taking it because it's a good value considering it combines all the key varieties of Vitamin K, and because I only take it every other day (I understand menaq7 has a long half life). And LEF is generally a quality brand. BTW, on a more minor note, I'm sorry to see that they removed medium-chain-triglycerides. Finally, I always wonder why this product doesn't show up in ConsumerLabs' Vitamin K tests. It seems like LEF has been paying CL to be included in most of its tests lately (as denoted by an asterisk when the product is approved -- ie, ConsumerLabs' Voluntary Certifcation Program). When a Voluntary Certification product fails, CL does *not* disclose the failure, i.e. you never even know it was tested. So this makes me wonder if LEF Super K failed the test for some reason. Just conjecture of course, but there *was* an odd situation awhile back where Super K showed up as approved in an older CL Vitamin K test, but then abruptly disappeared from the test results.

My Dr. told me I had to get this to go along with my Vitamin D prescription. He said if I didn't take this, then the vitamins wouldn't be distributed throughout my body as it should and some of it would be absorbed in places I didn't want it to be absorbed. I didn't believe him for a while and didn't want to spend the money on this, but I finally gave in and bought this. My Vitamin D in my bloodwork has come back in the normal range now and I'm not deficient in Vitamin D any longer. I guess this might have helped to do that, but I'm not a Dr., so I really don't know. Meanwhile, I take it every day, along with my Vitamin D, and haven't had any problems with it. It seems to help and doesn't seem to hurt. Thanks for the purchase.

In a nutshell, I have had idiopathic (meaning there's no apparent medical cause) bruising, mostly of my legs, almost all my life, but very severely for about ten years. To no avail, I tried several prescriptions, vitamin k creams, Arnica creams and gels, sublingual Arnica, Bilberry, and Horse Chestnut - which made it much worse. I started taking NOW Foods' vitamin k-2 supplement a few months ago, and was disappointed to find there was no change in my bruising. Decided to give vitamin k one more shot and bought this Life Extension Super K. In about two weeks, it has COMPLETELY eliminated every single bruise I had on my legs, and I've not had a single new bruise since I've started taking it. I can't tell you how amazing that is. The effects were quick and dramatic...my legs have literally never been completely free of bruises until now. Each small gel pill has 2200 mcg of vitamin k, twenty times the amount in each NOW Foods capsule, so perhaps it is simply the higher dosage that made this effective for me. I take one calcium + vitamin D gummy with the vitamin k which can supposedly increase absorption. I will never miss a dose, I'm very, very thankful for this stuff. This is just great!! It is pharmaceutical grade and came highly recommended! Please let me share what it has done for me. I went on Super K right after I had a heart cath in 2010 which showed a 57% blockage in my LAD. (The widow make artery in your heart) Left Anterior Descending artery and a 77% blockage in a peripheral. Now I originally took the K because after much research it made sense and was highly recommended by my pain doctor who also is a reserach doctor of pharmacology. 11 months later I was in a horrible auto accident resulting in trauma to my chest. Another heart cath was done. To the amazement of my cardiologists and myself, the heart cath performed by the same cardiologist 11 months prior, it showed the LAD blockage going from 57% to 50% and the 77% little peripheral to 52%! When I asked my pain doctor he explained how research is finding how each different component of K's work to clear arteries. I did NOT change my diet...I eat pretty healthy anyway...keep my weight down...but still have high cholesterol. I knew Statins are so ugly for your body. Space Doc had huge amount of info on statins and why cholesterol is not the enemy of your heart and there are is much more showing this. All in all I know Super K by Life Extension can be trusted as all their products can.
