Each box contains 12 individually sterilized foil packs of sutures and one instruction sheet. The suture is sterilized with Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas and has a shelf life of 3 years from the manufacturing date. They are packaged in a solution of 89% Isopropanol, 10% water and 1% Triethanolamine. Material is composed of purified connective tissue (mostly collagen). Chromic Gut is a type surgical suture that is naturally degraded by the body's own proteolytic enzymes. Uniform treatment with a buffered chromium salt solution. Chromic Gut has high knot-pull tensile strength and good knot security due to special excellent handling features. It is used for all surgical procedures including general closure, ophthalmic, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology and gastrointestinal surgery.
