Great device, app, and customer support
We initially got a GPS tracking device to be able to track our special needs son in the event he would go missing. We pin it to his pocket when he goes to school, when we are out and about on the weekends, and when we go out of town or on vacation. Our biggest fear is that one day he will go missing and he won't be able to communicate to someone who he is, where he lives, what the home number is, etc. With this device and the phone app, we have piece of mind that if he ever goes missing, we will be able to find where he is at. We love the comfort of knowing where he is at that we go one for our other child who is not special needs, just in case. We used to have another GPS tracking device that we used for a number of years, but that (as many of the older GPS tracking devices do) worked on the G2 network which is slowly being phased out. Over the last few years we've seen a lot of the functionality on that other GPS tracker go away. The thought of not being able to track our son was heartbreaking for us and finding a replacement GPS tracker was difficult to do because they all were using the 2G network. We finally found this Tracki device and per the specs it runs on the 3G network. I was so excited when we found this we immediately ordered a set of them. I will have to say I was skeptic at first because it seemed like such a new product (we ordered ours in August and all the reviews we were able to find anywhere were only from a few months ago) but we figured we had nothing to loose, if we weren't happy, we could cancel service. I will have to say that this device and the company have far exceeded my expectations and my experience with other devices. The price of the device is extremely reasonable. The plans are great. Right now, since we've been trying it out we went with the month to month plan, but at some point we will switch to one of their yearly plans, which will save us money. The app is still relatively new. It was released in March 2019 and they are at version 2.3. I can say that it has greatly improved and they are constantly making improvements and releasing updates. The app will get a notification for any of the triggers you setup (such as enter or leave a zone you define). If you want other people to get notified of activities, they don't need to have the app, you can setup the app to send text messages to specific mobile numbers and you can also set it up to send e-mail to specific e-mail address. It will show you the batter life that remains for the device, and you can set it to notify you if the device hits a percent battery life so that you know it's time to recharge the battery. The batter life is great, we go a few days without having to charge it. You can set it up to refresh location every 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 minutes or even 1, 2, or 4 hours. The app will even let you "ping" the device so that it will beep. We've used this option a few times when the kids didn't remember exactly where in the house they put their device. This is a great feature!! It will also let you see past history of the device movement, this might come in handy at some point if anyone goes missing. The device has some nice features as well. It has a power button so you can turn the device off at night. Other's don't have this. We power them down when the kids come home, that saves batter life. It has 3 buttons, one is an SOS button in case your child runs into problems, it will notify the app on the phone and let you know the SOS button was pressed. It has 2 other buttons as well that you can use for whatever you want to be notified for. It comes with a clip that you can put on, so a child can clip it to their pants. It has a little ring loop that you can put a key ring on. We put a small cable tie with a safety pin so that we could pin it to our sons pockets to make it harder to take off. You may see comments that say that the device is not accurate. I will say, based on experience on trying several GPS tracking devices, they are all like that. It might not update the second you look at the app, but it will update, just give it time. I've called customer support twice for help on two different items, and they were VERY accommodating and EXTREMELY helpful. In the "Help - Contact Support" section of the app, it has a button to "Call Support", so they make it easy to get a hold of them when you need to.

Tracki Device and Customer Support is Outstanding
We have been using Tracki on our dog’s collar to keep tabs on her since 2021. It provides fantastic real time tracking and gives us a huge level of comfort. In September of 2022, Tracki literally saved our dog’s life. Our dog was lost in a wooded area about 1/2 mile from our home. She was so frightened, she hid in a shallow hole under deep cover and would not respond to calls of her name from the search team. After searching that area on 3 occasions during that day, the Tracki GPS assured us that she was still in the woods. Finally, we decided to search there 1 fourth and final time and she finally emerged. Without Tracki we never would have located her nor even would have known where to look. Fast forward to today when the clip from the device that attaches it to her collar broke. I called TRACKI to see if I could get a replacement. The customer service representative advised me that instead of sending me a new clip, she was going to send me a brand new device for FREE! I love this product as well as the customer service support that stands behind the product. 4th Review: November 8, 2022: The neoprene cover to the device tore. I called TRACKI to see if I could get a replacement. The customer service representative advised me that instead of sending me a new neoprene cover, she was going to send me a brand new device - upgraded to 4G for FREE! You read that correctly....FREE! I love this product as well as the customer service support that stands behind the product. 3rd Review: September 15, 2022: Our dog was lost for 6 hours. Tracki indicated that she was in a wooded area about 1/2 mile from our home. Even though that area was searched, the search team could not find her. I called Tracki and spoke with a tech who stayed on the phone with me, guided me, and reassured me through the search. Here is a portion of the email I sent the tech: "We went back to the wooded area a fourth time and located her. She was hiding in deep cover. Frightened to death, but unharmed. I sincerely appreciate the time you spent with me on the phone, reassuring me that the GPS signal was constantly pinging and the location of the tracker was accurate. If it was not for TRACKI, we may have never located our dog. In fact, we would not have even known where to look. TRACKI saved my dogs life and my family’s heart from breaking. Thank you so much again." 2nd Review: June 7, 2021: This is a followup to my initial review. Recently, the clip on my Tracki 2021 Model Mini Real time GPS Tracker broke off from my dog's collar. I called Tracki to see if I could get a replacement. Customer service at Tracki is EXCELLENT. I was not interrogated nor was I told that breakage of that nature isn't covered under the warranty, nor was I told that I would have to pay for a replacement. Customer service immediately shipped out the replacement part to me and I received it a few days later. If I could, I'd add a 6th star to my review for Tracki's outstanding customer service. 1st Review: Just received the Tracki 2021 Model Mini Real time GPS Tracker. We've attached it to our dog's collar because she invariably gets out when the kids aren't careful closing the door and on occasion she wanders throughout the neighborhood. We tested it out over the weekend by letting the dog go on one of her unleashed strolls and the Tracki kept tabs on her the entire time. We really like that the app keeps us informed as to the % of battery life left on the Tracki and that you can set a zone alert so that if the device moves out of the zone (the parameters of which you set yourself), you receive a push notification. So far so good.

Best tracker and service I could find to keep track of my dog
I have used trackers for my dogs over the past 15 years. I started with the first trackers for hunting dogs that Garmin put on the market before the era of cell phones. They were built to last a thousand years and were using the same GPS satellite signal but connected to base over short-range radio frequencies. And they were very expensive. When similar devices started to appear with world-wide cellular connections, I researched every new one and tested a few. After my Garmin experience, they all fell short in one way or another. Until Tracki came along. I have used it now for close to nine months. UPDATED IN FEB 2024: I've now used it for almost 4 years. It always works. It is very easy to set up and use. It shows its location on half a dozen different backgrounds—street map, bird’s eye view of the terrain (where I can actually see my truck in my driveway), and combinations of streets and terrain photography. These maps do not have to be purchased (unlike Garmin’s), they are just there. I can adjust the location update frequency from one minute up to hours (if I want the battery to last for weeks, for example). With one update every minute, the battery lasts for several days (I had to charge Garmin’s Astro every night). The accuracy is within a few yards. The unit is very light and very small. My current dog is large, but this Tracki unit will fit fine even on a cat’s collar. Unlike Garmin’s Astro, this system stores maps of many days in the past, so I can review my dog’s walks from weeks back. By default, you see only the current location, but with a frw mouseclicks on the computer, or taps on a tablet or phone, I can see the entire route, with points spaced at one-minute Intervals. For other uses, the device has an unexpected feature: three buttons that send back signals, a different one for each button, so if my dog could push a button, I would immediately get an email that days “left button pressed on Sasha’s Tracki.” Wow. One wish for the future enhancements: the beep that the unit produces when I push a button on my phone or computer should have adjustable volume. Right now, it is too quiet. I lost my first Tracki on a lawn covered with leaves, and although I knew, within a few yards, where it was, I could nit find it, and the beep was to soft to hear out in the open. I had to buy a new unit from Amazon, and called the Tracki 24/7 support to ask if I could replace the lost unit without losing any settings. The support service is first rate. First I talked to a woman whose name I do not remember, and she walked me through the steps. Then I talked to a man named Liam who set me up with a lifetime warranty that will replace my unit if I ever lose or break it. For free. These units are very affordable, but I still feel lucky and appreciated. The cell service is only ten bucks a month. I forgot to say that if this unit is close enough to your wifi or bluetooth connection, it will use those to communicate with you instead of the cellular. This saves battery life, I think. Updated 2 years later. Still in love with the device, use it on my dog every day, And after the 3G cell connection started feeling outdated, what with the 5G on my phone and all, I called Tracki, immediately got a real live person named Kay, who replaced my 3G version of the unit with a 4G replacement, free of charge. UPDATED FEB 2024: my device broke and was replaced for free. Later, it stopped working and was replaced at minimal cost. My subscription was intact and a month was added fre of charge. This is an excellent tracker with support.

I am moving house, across country and bought these to track the movement of my vehicle and belongings which are being shipped - separately. The instructions clearly state to charge the battery for 12 hours until the blinking light, stops blinking and is constant. I charged the battery for 24 hours and the light had stopped blinking. I was delighted to see how accurate the device was sitting in my home, it placed the device perfectly. I set the device to send a signal ever 4 hours, this according to the instructions should have given me close to 30 days of tracking. I put the device in my car and drove it 20 miles to the vehicle carrier depot. Checked the app, and it still showed it back in my house, I wasn't concerned because it hadn't yet been 4 hours. Later that night it was still showing it at my house and I knew something was wrong. The next morning I call Tracki and asked what could be wrong. The person who answered the phone was pleasant and logged in to my device and told me 1) the device was set to wifi, not GPS and this is why it showed in my home where it had been set up - THERE IS NOTHING ANYWHERE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT MENTIONS WIFI, OR ENSURING THAT IT IS SET TO GPS. I was told that they could reset it remotely but that I might have to power down the device and restart it. PROBLEM WAS THAT MY DEVICE WAS SOMEWHERE ELSE NOW, where I didn't know because Tracki wasn't tracking. 2) THE BATTERY IS NOW 31% - this is 24 hours, not 24 days after I had activated the device. Even if it was working it wouldn't last 2 days. That device is lost my only hope of seeing it again is if my car makes it to its destination. If and when it does is now anyone's guess. Thank you Tracki. The other 2 devices that I planned to place along with my belongings to be taken by the movers I am returning. Everything that is stated on Amazon about the battery life is a fallacy. The instructions are so incomplete that it renders the device useless. Buy at your own risk. One last thing, the person who answered my call at Tracki told me that their supervisor would call me back later when they arrived at the office. I'm still waiting. Thanks again Tracki.

Update: This is GREAT - was " I got a defective unit or there is some unrecognized obstruction"
I received the unit on Saturday afternoon and went for a bike ride around a golf course (very little trees) and placed in a plastic cup holder point face up to the sky to record at 1 minute intervals. I came home and it tracked me perfectly saying it had 78% battery. Sunday I went for a ride and it didn't track me at all . I assume this was the battery level at at 9-10%. So I charged it up to 25% (a few hours of charging) went for a ride. It reported me at a couple of places on the same golf course trip. Maybe it was weather, maybe something else but I put it on charger over night. In the morning the red light was on solid (stating full charge). It shown 100% full on charger but as soon as I disconnected it from charger it said 97%. I went on my ride at 7 am on same golf course path. I came home and the map shown scribbles like it took random readings at random times - not following my path. I contacted tech support who gave me reboot instructions which sounded valid (maybe the unit has something cached - lets discharge it and let it sync back up). So I shut down the unit , took out battery for 2 minutes (more like 10 but they said 2), put it back in, turn it on, let it sit in direct line of sight to the sky for 20 minutes. I checked it 30 minutes later and it reported location (GPS) and battery 86%. I went for a ride. I looked at it a ta few stops near my house and it reported right. I went for my ride and came back and again it missed my golf course path I ride, the one that reported correctly on Saturday. I contacted tech support again. They told me it could be the weather, building could be blocking it (not on a golf course) , don't put it in a box (is a plastic cup holder a box?), weak cell tower signals, etc. I can see those being real valid points. I just don't get why it got exponentially worse. The tech support guy did try to help but I don't think this is device is strong enough to do what it claims. If I can use my phone (google maps) to show me where I am, and this device (set at 1 minute interval) reports randomly between 1 and 30 minutes (unless the battery is low). Even an inaccurate reading somewhere on the path would be acceptable. I wanted to use this for protecting my bike. But if someone stole it, chances are the last reading of my bike would be at my house. I bought this based on lowest price and lower subscription rate. I need to purchase something a little more expensive it appears. Big plus - this unit is thesis of a small box of matches Everything else just didn't live up to its reported hype (except on day 1) EDIT - they did refund me back the 2 year subscription I purchased but deducted $24 for 1 month of use although I used it 2 days and cancelled due to its inability to function. Be careful dealing with this company UPDATE (June 21): The company reached out to me and was genuinely concerned about my issue. After a discussion, they generously reactivated my account to work my problem. I provided information (screenshots show my path my phone tracked me and the Tracki device) and other data. The immediately responded and confirmed "something up with my device" and are sending a replacement. Customer service is awesome. Bumping rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. Once I get replacement and it works, this will be 5 stars *They really do care about their product July 2 Had the new unit and did a recharge. Rode around. It works as advertised. The Tracki Team (Jared and Kris) were awesome with supporting me. Totally concerned that I am 100% satisfied *My first unit was just damaged - the replacement works all of the time, is accurate, and charges fast I bought this for an electric bike I own - and I hid it on the bike. If it get taken, the unsuspecting villain will have police on them FAST. Thanks TRACKI TEAM!!!!!

For me, it’s my sons car, my truck, lawnmower and my utility trailers. My 1st TRACKi was purchased over 3 years ago and is still working perfectly. I do have the waterproof extra large battery on 2 of my 3 units, and those batteries last 5-6 weeks on a single charge depending on travel and alert usage. The other unit is moved between my motorcycle and family car and Isra kept inside the vehicles. I have had zero technical issues with these units and would strongly recommend this product to anyone I know. I only wish I had found these before my last trailer was stolen!! But there’s definitely one on my new trailer with every alert turned on! I hope my review has been helpful and I appreciate you taking time to read it. If I left something out, feel free to “ask me a question”

Accuracy
Like most women and some men in the world today I too had suspicions of infidelity in my relationship. This tracker was purchased in hopes of clearing up a lot of lies and honestly I was hoping it would be my ticket out of a toxic relationship that was way past it’s expiration date but due to my partner’s selfishness and unwillingness to tell the truth I needed this device to help catch him red handed. So while that explains the “why” for my purchase. Let me review the actual details on the product. I purchased it before leaving to go on a trip out of town with my mom. We picked the package up from the mailroom in my building on the day we were set to leave Monday 7/19. I set it up and paid for the 6 month subscription $99. It was easy to do and had little no problems getting it going. Once I set it up I set the tracking mode to battery save mode because my trip was until Friday 7/23. I found a spot on his vehicle and everything was set up golden before I left. I set it to update his location only every 2 hours with no real time GPS tracking to ensure the battery didn’t die while I was away. The battery lasted the entire trip. I retrieved the device from his car with a low battery alert on 7/28. So it was a solid 6 days after my trip before the low battery alert. In total 10 days. It was only 2 less days than the device described it would last but no mobile device with a portable rechargeable battery ever last that long so I can’t complain. It is deceiving because the app tells you that in that mode you should be able to get 12-15 days I think. Don’t quote me I could be wrong. But anyway. It lasted just long enough for me to retrieve it recharge it and put back in place. This time I changed the settings to real time GPS because I was back home and could retrieve it more often for charging. It’s holding now at 64 percent from 2 days ago 7/28 100 percent. The battery is like most cell phones. With constant pinging to towers and gps usage the battery is bound to drain. I’m just happy now to have a tool that can help me with my biggest issue right now. Thank you Tracki!!! Also received a call from Tracki representative regarding my lifetime warranty. I was skeptical at first because of fraud/scams being so prevalent but she didn’t raise any red flags. She only asked for my Amazon order ID# and asked about my review. Hence the reason why I wrote this review. Lol. All is well. And if I ever need to put on my investigative hat again this will be my first stop. Hopefully not though 🙄 Update!! Well as mentioned before I got a call from their customer service. Every since that call my tracker hasn’t worked properly. It decides when it wants to stop working and when it wants to work. I contacted them about this issue and even pointed out that none of my indicator lights were working so I didn’t know when I was powering It on or off. They were no help. Didn’t offer to replace it because he said it worked on their end and that they could see it tracking. So the lifetime warranty is non existent. I have an obvious defective device and I’m stuck with it. I’m probably canceling my subscription soon.

A very detailed review!
I purchased this after very literally almost having my child stolen from me. Thankfully, I always conceal carry. That being said, I decided I would look into a tracking device to place on my 4 year old for when we go out just in case another situation like this occurs again. I will be able to locate him! The device-Tracki itself is small and compact. Super easy to conceal. It’s comes with a variety of different backings you can place on it suck as a clip or magnet. HOWEVER, I can tell you that I have experienced the device sliding off of the back and becoming lost. Thankfully because it’s a tracking device I’ve been able to locate it 😅 The tracking service-take a look at the pictures I added. One is where I was driving, and the other is where myself and my kids were walking around. As you can see, when Tracki is able to pick up device it does a pretty darn good job. But when it has no service (I was in the middle of no where and had no cell service either) it “jumps” from just before you lost service to where you picked it back up. I have learned from researching that trees, buildings, and even whether can play a role in how well this unit works. Customer service-I have called Tacki twice. This first time was before they opened for the day, but after waiting some time as message played saying my number was put on some kind of list and I would get a call back. That call never came. The second time was by accident (a pocket dial from redial of the first call the next day) and I was unintentionally on hold for over 20 minutes. I feel like this may have been a fluke though, because for other reviewers it seems as though the costumer service is pretty good. Battery-My initial first call to Tracki was because of the battery. I thought I had a faulty one. Until (after much research) I realized that because of where I live the battery percentage only picks up when the unit itself receives signal. I live in the middle of nowhere. So if you charge until full (when the red light is no longer flashing), and it shows the battery is still low, it may because of the signal. I’ve learned that if I go somewhere that I know I am going to have service, that changes once it picks up a signal. I’m not 100% sure on the battery life. I have mine set to track every minute because of my child gets stolen every second is important. I can have this fully charged, and generally it will last the full length of a trip (4-6 hours). Then I just charge it for the next use. I have done extensive research into tracking devices for my kids. This one seemed the most practical without breaking the bank. At this point in time I’m happy with it. It works when I need it to-most of the time dependent on surroundings. I am glad I invested in this little unit. It’s not perfect, but it doesn’t look like any of them are unless you have a fortune to pay. At that point, I might as well buy them a phone-then I could call them! If your using this to track an item I would suggest “testing” it for a week or two in advance so you can figure out how it all works. Its simple once you figure it out. This would have been a 4 star review if it wasn’t for the phone call issues-customer service is a big thing for me!
