Columbia Men's Evergreen Shell Jacket

However- I thought the Interchange system would allow it to work with my Columbia Ballistic II fleece. It does not. The fleece will not zip into the shell. I finally went to a local store that sells a lot of Columbia products and found a fleece for $55 that would work perfectly. The penny pincher in me told me to put it back and just wear one of my existing fleece jackets underneath without worrying about the zip in feature. So- I saved the $$ and walked away from it.The shell is good- it sheds rain like a champ and is pretty wind proof. The pit zips help regulate the temperature. I can see no actual benefit to the foil-like material on the inside that is supposed to trap heat.The takeaway- a good shell- but Interchange does not necessarily mean what it says. Buy with caution if you are mixing and matching.

No storm flap over zipper. 3 good outside pockets. three good inside pockets. fairly new.I like the outside material. Omni water proof. I have 3 other Omni waterproof Columbia jackets,all have failed after about a year. all outer shells. This one has a tougher outside material than all theother ones which I like. I am hoping this one does not fail in a year. If it does. I will never recommendColumbia and or buy any Columbia products ever again. I will bash them every chance I get. This stuffcosts way to much to not perform as advertised. I gave it 4 stars because of the lack of a protective flapover the zipper. I paid $63.38 shipped.

I ended up sending this jacket back. It's definitely warm, but it's only a shell so it requires layers or zip in jacket from Columbia. I love Columbia products, but this jacket seemed to run big and long. I'm 5'5" so the small was still a little long. Had to return, but might be good for other people. It's waterproof and breathable.

This particular Columbia shell is a step up from my previous 5 year old Columbia shell. It's obviously got the same or better technology then shells made 5 years ago. It's got pockets for iPhones and androids, and the inside is "smooth" to slip on. So overall 5 out of 5 stars cause of the color, style, function and brand. The only thing I don't like is the hood is big, and made for a bike helmet or something, but you can just tuck it down.

I got it promptly. looks good and sturdy. Im 6'8", broad but not big and its a little baggy in XL, thank god for elastic wrist and waistband. Unbeatable price, nicely played Amazon!

i got this to be a shell coat for skiing, but i doubt i could fit anything under it

Good value, would purchase again.
