A real life saver
I did not need a neck strap in my younger years when I played in the band in school, as the clarinet is a relatively lightweight instrument. However, now at my age, (I play on my church praise team), I have found this very helpful, as I have begun having issues with my right arm and shoulder, since the right arm bears the weight of the instrument. This has been a real life saver, as it takes the weight off and allows me to play more comfortably without pain and my shoulder and arm giving out on me. And I love the professional grade quality and that you can adjust it. Highly recommend, especially for anyone older like me who wants to continue to play without pain.

Easy to Adjust
Excellent strap - slim, elegant design, secures the instrument and stays out of the way of your hands.

Good Item
My son said that after using this item, he solved the problem of finger pain caused by playing the clarinet for a long time.

Makes a world of difference to a heavy instrument
Easily attaches, comfortable around the neck, easy to adjust the length.

Not at all elastic
I finally got a screw eye added to my thumb rest so I could use a neck strap like this. I was surprised to discover when I got it that it is not at all stretchy. In other words you have to adjust the length exactly right. And adjusting the length is a) a bit of a pain to figure out, and b) does not always stay adjusted. But I have to say that compared to my old stretchy neck strap (whose band was quite wide) it does not get in my way, and if you get the adjustment just right it takes more weight off my thumb than the stretchy one. The stretchy one also, well, stretched out so it was nearly unusable after a time. This one will not do that.

Very comfortable and saves your wrist!
I've been using this strap for a few months now and I love it. It has padding and feels very comfortable on the neck. I was most impressed with the stitching on the strap. I sew as a hobby and I noticed the good quality of this strap right away. The strap is easy to adjust and holds its position without slipping. It fits my 1967 Buffet R13 thumb rest with zero issues. I injured my right hand a few years ago and found that playing clarinet was aggravating that old injury. With this strap it's no longer a problem. The weight is taken off of that hand allowing me to play longer and easier without being in pain.

From a music major, it's worth it
Comfortable, durable, does it's job. The only con is your clarinet really can only be in one angle if you want it to work but otherwise it saved my injured wrist and my playing!!

Great for Young and Old
My 8 year old just fits into the larger size neck strap. Without the strap, he was struggling to focus on learning the correct finger positions or resting the clarinet between his legs. The strap helps him hold the instrument comfortably and properly. I also like using it, as I play infrequently now and find my right thumb gets sore when I play otherwise.
