This stand not only looks better than X style stands, but also allows me to scoot the chair closer than the other stands. Easy to assemble, very light weight. Though not collapsible, it is easily disassembled for storage.

This stand is perfect for our new keyboard! After reading some reviews about it not being sturdy, I was skeptic. So glad I went with my gut and ordered it because it’s plenty sturdy! It was easy to assemble and is lightweight and easy to move. Thanks for a great product! Would definitely recommend!

The kids have played their keyboard a ton since we ordered this stand. We had purchased a really nice keyboard from a yard sale, but it was huge and didn't come with a stand. The kids messed with it pretty sparingly due to having to sit on the ground with it. This was super easy to put together and I didn't need any tools. There are multiple mounting points on the stand so it should line up with whatever keyboard you have - line up perfectly for hours. When putting it together, I snugged up all the connections and then mounted the keyboard. This allowed the weight of the instrument to "settle" the stand and square everything up. Then I cranked all the fasteners down and it was good to go! the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5: I would prefer it to be a tad sturdier. I have a lot of kids (6) and a clumsy dog (about 100 pounds) and if they bump into it, it does wobble some. I would give a 4.5 if I could, because its perfect other than that.

It's for smaller or hobbyist/children's keyboards. The metal at the base of the stand is extremely lame and you could easily bend it with your hands. I know this because one of the pieces was slightly bend when it arrived so I had to bend it back. I have a 49 key midi controller and it holds the keyboard but I wouldn't put anything heavier on it or take it on the road. It's fine if you don't need it for heavy or large gear.

Good keyboard stand

I unfortunately threw away the box and can't return this, but at least I can help others avoid it. Do *not* buy this. It is fundamentally flawed. The metal is quite flimsy, and the vertical legs have quite a bit of forward/backward flex in them independent of the horizontal base pieces. That is, even if you put this on level cement, it is still going to sway back and forth. It's unusable. I have it on carpet, but the swaying is not caused by the carpet; its the design.

I set it up and It was great! I am enjoying it.

for the price the quality is about right. tubes and shaped sheet metal held together, in loose fitting assemblies by plastic connectors using generic screws and no lock washers. functional. about right for a department store electronic keyboard.
