Wenter HDMI to RCA 1080P HDMI to AV Converter / 3RCA CVBs Composite Video Audio Converter Adapter Supporting PAL/NTSC with USB Charge Cable

I almost returned this item because I didn't think I needed directions for a simple converter. Not so. Posting this for others to learn from. I purchased this to allow a smart DVD player to hook up to an older TV with RCI jacks jacks so I could use the old TV to watch Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. At first when I hooked it up, I got nothing but a beeping noise. I tested the converter with the cable receiver box and got sound and picture, but it was in black & white. After reading the instructions I realized that the converter must be plugged in. They provide the cord, but not the USB power port. I have several of those laying around the house (the kind you plug your phone charger cord in to). After plugging the unit in, I got picture, but it was poor quality black & white. Reading a little more in the directions and it says to "dial PAL/NTSC" I had no idea what that meant, but there's a button the back with those letters and when I pushed it, Walla! I got a clear screen with color. So now it's working fine and I"m happy to keep the product. Note, the RCA (red, white, & yellow) and HDMI cables are not provided, but i already had them. The directions say it is not compatible with ROKU, Chromecast, mobile phones, Ipads, Amazon fire stick or Super Nintendo. I haven't tested to see if that's so.

It works like a charm and is easy to hook up. Two cautions though: the USB jack on the players I've tried it with wouldn't power it up. I had to use a separate USB adapter that plugged into the wall to power it. Also, you must select 1080p as the ONLY output resolution on any device you use it with. 1080p is the only resolution it is designed to work with. Once you do that, it works exactly as claimed.I used it to replace an older streaming box hooked up to an old standard definition TV. As uTube and Prime changed their streaming codecs this old player lost the ability to play them. Couldn't find a modern era streamer with the old video connections (only HDMI jacks are included on modern streaming devices) so I needed this box to convert HDMI to the old video and audio connections the old TV was equipped with. This device allowed me to connect a modern streamer to an old, pre-HDMI TV and it worked.My only negative is that the picture is inferior to the old streaming box's picture--but it was good enough for my purposes.I can't argue with the incredibly low price either.

This product was easy to connect and worked for about 2 -3 weeks. The product then failed and needed to be replaced. The second unit worked for about 4 months. Now the second unit is dead too. This unit is not used in a hot area and is well ventilated, but the unit seems to run fairly warm anyway (when it works). It is also not used all that often.The price is very good, but I found the reliability poor. I would expect this unit to last several years since it has no moving parts and is not used all that often, but it didn't.

My first one had something wrong with it. The company gave me a new one and il works good. This company is amazing to work with. They made sure I was happy with their product.

My RVs television is 'old school' with red/white/yellow AV connection and no HDMI port. For this converter you will need to supply your own HDMI cable and an AV red/white/yellow cable because those are not supplied.Your TV must have a USB port to power the converter and AV plug-in ports for red/white/yellow.I was successful in connecting my HDMI blu-ray player to my RVs television AV connection which run on a red/white/yellow cable.I previously returned a cable with HDMI on one side and AV red/white/yellow plugs on the other side. A USB power line was not available on the cable I returned. I believe the described cable failed because there was not USB power line.So I was delighted that this converter worked on the initial install and I do not need to purchase an additional DVD player.

Good picture quality while it last,It lasted like a month for me then it stopped working, of course the return window its closed and now i got a beautiful $10 paperweight

Bought this item to convert my firestick to a RCA style old projector. At first it didn’t work. Played around with it for 30 mins and finally got it to work. It needs to be in steps and this is not in the instructions. In the instructions it says not compatible with Firestick but works if you follow this step. You need to plug this unit first into the power source then into the RCA projector or whatever you are using. Let it warm up for a min or two. Then plug in the firestick to the converter and only then will the fire stick work.

I had bought a similar product from amazon before about two years ago. It was a piece of junk. It was not well made and parts were loose on the electrical board. This one worked perfectly after connecting to my old projection tv and now i can connect my laptop to it and enjoy big screen viewing of my favorite shows and apps.
