Instruments Professional Digital Sound Level Meter 30 to 130db with Bluetooth

The measurements made with this device are 8dB lower in SPL than my previous Sound Level Meter. One of them is wrong, but THIS one assisted me in blowing the 2 main speakers on the left side of the church during a church service after a system re-equalization. I don't have the calibration device, which is available. The main culprit causing the speaker damage was a grossly underpowered amplifier causing distortion (which in this case was not audible).

It is no good to me if I can't properly calibrate itBought in March, 2016- unpackaged 6/8/16, installed batteries, tried to calibrate it but it doesn't adjust to the proper value of 94dB- It only adjusts down to 96.5dB. The return policy was 1 month, no manufacturer name, phone number, website... nothing in the packaging, no way to contact, ask for help, ask questions, whatever.I am out of luck- $107 down the drain...OK- So I am letting other buyers know that I was contacted and helped out in a timely fashion to work through the calibration issue I was having. There was an additional adjustment pot inside the battery cavity. I am now able to baseline the CAL value to 94dB. Thank you to Anna for following up on this.

Easy to use. Accurate. Nice carrying / storage case comes with it.Cons: are The software on the CD doesn't work. Customer service will provide a link to the download. Customers can't find the link, it's not shown on their website.

First it came with no power cord! What's up with that? The software was on a CD. our computers don't have CD drives and it took MULTIPLE back and forth with the company over weeks to get directions for bluetooth pairing. Then once it was.paired the data didn't show up on the computer as promised. Still waiting for some kind of resolution from the company. I recommend buying some other brand

It's perfect for what I needed. It measures sound outside and displays & records the reading on a computer inside. I needed to ensure the noise I was generating in my workshop wasn't over the legal limit. This gizmo did the trick. I would have given it five stars, but it's difficult to calibrate. The adjustment mechanism is very tiny and hard to turn. I had a hard time finding something that would fit it.
