I cannot say enough about this product - I am the worlds biggest skeptic on non vet prescribed supplement products or human supplements non dr prescribed for that matter. Spring of this yr I noticed my 12 yr old Shepard/Husky/Lab mix struggling to get up. She had also stopped jumping into the truck and I had to pick her up. She was in mild to moderate discomfort and displayed some tail-tail signs such as shaking and twitching in her hips, legs and such. After getting a recommendation from a groomer and reading the reviews I plunked down what seemed like a good bit of scratch at the time on this suppliment. Let me tell you within a week of the 2x dose I saw improvement in her - she got up faster - she was more eager to play with other dogs. The twitching and shaking subsided greatly. A couple of weeks after that I prepared to take her to the park and opened the door, I set her leash and snacks on the hood getting ready to pick her 73 lb body up into the truck - realizing I forgot my cell phone I went into the house only to come back and she was already into the truck! She had jumped in on her own! She had not done that in almost 6 months. Shes going on 13 now yet is active gets in and out of the truck herself now and the shaking and twitching has stopped. This product is amazing and she will get this suppliment every day as long as it is effective. She started playing a lot again and still gets a little sore as she is old but with a days rest she pops right back up again ready for more. This product is nothing short of legit and amazing and Izzy is a testimony to its effectiveness! 5 stars would give more if i could! BTW she loves the taste its like an additional treat and I give her 2x if she had a active day playing and then go back to 1x. My vet who was about to prescribe her meds is amazed at her mobility now.

AMAZING SUPPLEMENT TO AID IN DOG'S RECOVERY OF TORN ACL
Being a dog lover, I'm sure you know how much pain it causes you and your family to see your loved one injured and you'll do whatever it takes to make them as good as new so they can go back to being their happy selves again. After a TON of research, we decided to go with the TPLO surgery for my lab. This review is not about which surgery you should consider or which is best, as they're a few different routes to consider and many factors that come into play (all of which can be read on Dr. James St.Clair's website) but rather a review on this product that we used in conjunction with my dog's surgery. I know that the surgeon did a FANTASTIC job but the speed of my dogs recovery was what was really astonishing and I have to believe that this product did wonders with aiding in the healing process and my dog being able to recover so quickly. In addition, my dog is very picky and has the tendency to spit vitamins or other supplements out. He took this as if they were treats, so that's always a great thing. I highly recommend this product, not only for post op, but as a continuing supplement. Yes, Dr. James St.Clair does offer another "maintenance" formula that you could use, but we've just decided to stick with this since it did wonders. Besides being such a superior product, however, it was the wealth of information that I gained from Top Dog's web site and Dr. St. Clair's outline of each procedure and the regime to follow for the weeks to come that really convinced me to purchase this product. I knew that this company takes great pride in not only the products they offer, but also the service they deliver and being able to read the various guides for each procedure and watch the videos to help guide you through this difficult process can not be understated. I highly recommend this product if you're considering surgery for your dog's ACL and as part of a daily regime afterwards as all the ingredients help support and strengthen you're dogs joints and bones.

Really good product, has helped my dog regain her life
My very athletic chocolate lab-pitt mix tore her CCL almost two years ago and had TPLO surgery. She ended up getting a bone infection and had to have her plate removed six months later. I had read all the great reviews of TopDog GlycanAid HA, and I have been giving it to her ever since her first surgery. She is now doing really good. She still doesn't put full weight on her surgery leg and that leg is smaller than the other as a result. But the other knee has been okay thus far (fingers crossed.) I can now take her out for a good run/swim and throw the tennis ball for her for about a half hour most days, and she does extremely well. She still takes Tramadol in the morning and if I stop giving her that she starts limping worse, but otherwise she is very happy. She was so thrilled when I was able to start taking her off leash and let her fetch the tennis ball again a few months after her second surgery. It truly is what she lives to do. It's hard to assess whether or not the TopDog has helped her, because she's been getting it every day since her first surgery and I've never taken her off it to see what happens. I give the 4 star review due to the fact that she has been able to resume something close to her previous level of activity without increased limping or injuring the other leg. It would be 5 stars but I honestly don't know if she would be fine without it. And I am so happy with her progress and I don't want to take a chance on derailing it by stopping her TopDog. If her continued progress is in fact due to the TopDog, then I give it ten stars!

Closest to human formulation
When Mister Wilson had to have TPLO surgery, I did my homework on recovery supplementation. My surgeon didn't give any recommendation beyond "put your money where you know it works." For me, I can only tell joint supplementation is working when you stop taking it. So, I looked at the formula that I was taking and there were only a few on the market that were close. After I struggled with the other (the cheaper), I switched to TopDog Health and haven't looked back. Mister Wilson was 8 yo when he had his first knee surgery and he rebounded faster than most dogs (including, attentive physical therapy, fish oil, turmeric, collagen). Mister Wilson is now 11 and has torn his other knee (which is expected) and is no longer a surgical candidate, but we are rehabbing him and overcoming this a little at a time. My dog does not know he is a senior and TopDog plays a large part of it. Stiffness/Pain Relief: I started giving it to my sister's dog, Mister Wilson's litter mate/brother and I can see a difference in the stiffness he was exhibiting before. Coupled with the surgical rebound, I have to say that it makes a difference in the overall comfort of an aging dog. Taste: My dog is very picky with food, so the taste is covered by wet food, but my sister's dog gobbles it up. It smells like brewer's yeast and there is a slight smell difference between bottles, but overall, it is puppy approved. It is easily broken up and mixed into food (I used bone broth collagen). Price Point: It is at the upper price range, which for most dog owners matters. But for me, compared to the Vet bills and discomfort that my dog would suffer through, it is worth the money. Mister Wilson is 67lbs (2 pills per day). A bottle would last us a little beyond 2 months. Now I am using 1 bottle a month. Formulation: The big one for me is the Cetyl-M, which is a joint lubricate, is missing from every other formula. I used to trust GNC with my vitamins and tried their doggie formula and my dog, had the worst GI upset (explosive). Every dog is different and I always went to my vet when I wanted to add or subtract something from his diet. I have never had GI issues with Mister Wilson. Over all, I am a customer for life, so much so, I pay for my sister's dog to give him the relief, after I noticed he was struggling with getting up. I know this product works because I have 2, 11 yo puppies again (lab/mastiff mixes). This is the closest formula to the one I take, Navy Veteran with arthritis and I tell everyone with an aging or injured dog, check out TopDog! I am a dog owner and was not compensated for this review.

Running Free and Limp Free
Our dog has been on Glycanaid-HA since September 2015 after having TPLO knee surgery on his right hind leg (9 months thus far). With careful restrictions on his physical activity and very gradually working him up to more rigorous activities, we are so grateful and happy to report that he has been able to run and enjoy the dog park and go on short hikes out with us (no more than 1 hour so far with low/ mild elevation changes). He zooms around the park at top speed like a maniac for short bursts and no limp afterwards. We still watch and never let him over exert himself. He's even got to try his hand at sheep herding! He spent about 20 minutes in the round pen with the trainer and got to chase a few sheep around. Still no limp afterwards. We do believe that consistent use of the joint supplement along with a thoughtful physical rehabilitation program that included various mobility exercises to teach him to reuse the "bionic leg" was an integral part of his full recovery. He went once a week starting 1 month after surgery and did about 10 sessions. We got him as a 4-5 yo rescue at our local city shelter in poor condition and no history as he was a stray. He's about 8-9 yo this year (we think). He's also maintaining a lean muscular weight of 41 lbs as compared to his muscular, bulkier 46-47 lbs pre-injury though he eats the same amount of food. He didn't gain quite all the muscle back but he's healthy and strong and the few pounds he lost also helps with relieving excess pressure from his joints. We've considered switching to Phycox or something a bit less expensive, but with his many allergies (including fish and marine ingredients) we are cautious to introduce any new products to his diet and this still works very well for him.

Great product. Great results!
This really is a good product and I recommend it to all my fellow agility competitors with older dogs or dogs experiencing some joint discomfort after years of competing. I have two Welsh Corgis, who over the years, have accumulated various injuries. Flash broke her elbow on a hiking trip when she was three, and still competes in herding dog trials and agility thanks to this product. I had her on Deramaxx for arthritis for a several months before finding this product, and I did not want to leave her on such a harsh, liver destroying medication forever. GlycanAid HA was the answer. It took away her aches and pains just as well, without the damaging effects of a prescription medication. My other dog, Volt, tore his CCL as a youngster playing frisbee. I thought he'd never be able to compete. Thanks to GlycanAid HA, he's pain free and also competing in sheep dog trials and agility. You would never know he was injured. This is huge for me. The vet was recommending surgery, but knowing what an active dog he was, I doubted I'd be able to maintain his quality of life while keeping him still enough for the long period it would take him to recover. Without those elements, the surgery was not going to be effective. Try this stuff out if you're thinking of medicating your dog. The other great thing about this product is that the dogs love to take it. They think it's a treat. In the morning, when it's time for their GlycanAid, they sit in front of the cupboard where I keep it and beg. They like the taste and smell, and they chew it right up with no problem.

Pups love them-Hold your nose!
My doggies were confused at first because they’re hard and need to be chewed well, but now they eat them easily. Personally, my boyfriend and I argue between who feeds them to the dogs, because they smell like straight vomit. You MUST wash your hands after you give them or your hands will smell like vomit all day. Outside of that-the pups seem to like them!

No more hip popping!
Sky is my 10 year old Alaskan Malamute, she's been on Glycanaid with hyluronic acid for about 3 years now. She's a long, big girl, at 130 lbs and 5' 11" from nose to tail. When she was 6 she had a partial tear in her ccl, we didn't do surgery, she was walked on a leash every day, no climbing, jumping or rough housing for 6 months straight. She's had Cosaquin DS with MSM twice a day since we brought her home at 8 weeks old. A few years ago her hips started popping when she walked. I've got RA and take hyluronic acid everyday so I figured I'd give her a supplement with it in there too. After about 3 weeks her hips stopped popping. I considered it a win and she's been on it since then...her daily regiment is 3 Cosaquin and 3 Glycanaid in the morning and at night, she thinks they're treats and loves them both. It's expensive but perscription pain pills for her size are about $0.86 per pill and she takes a pill and a half twice a day as needed...this is cheaper and doesn't cause liver damage.
