YY Vertical Belay Glasses for Rock Climbing – Upward Vision Prisms for Safe Belaying – Anti Neck Strain – Not for Reading

I feel like the lens materials could be better quality and get dirty easily, but otherwise these are absolutely perfect. I have several fused vertebrae in my cervical spine and these are a necessity for belaying while lead/trad climbing. I've lent them to lots of fellow gym climbers to try out and a ton of us have bought them now.

Ordered the glasses to make long training days easier on the neck. My wife and I have tried other belay glasses that we weren't super excited about but with a climbing trip coming up, we needed to make a change. These belay glasses are fantastic! Very comfortable and extremely accommodating with regard to fit! With no need for modifications, the glasses fit both me and my wife which was way beyond expectations!!! I mostly got them for my wife and figured I'd have to buy a second pair for myself as she's about half my size; but, they work great! So far the glasses are holding up perfectly as they seem to be very well made and the case offers good basic protection when packed - it's not a Pelican case so use common sense when packing ;) Thanks to Climbing Gear Direct for being so helpful and getting the product to me when I needed it to help us prepare for this trip!! Good field of view, slim, and they feel put together enough for purposeful and careful use. The case for hanging on your harness is strong enough to protect against mild abuse, but certainly not strong enough to handle moderate weight. Pack carefully if traveling! The carabiner is the cheap flimsy mini one that will break quickly, but just find a different way to hook them on and you're set. Best product out there, but also the cost is a premium to not have glasses that look too luggish.

Love these glasses - they help save my neck at the gym. They are lightweight, fit well. I've lent them to others when we're climbing and several have decided to buy these too. I think they make a less expensive plastic version but I don't know anything about them.

I've owned Belay Specs and a few flavors of cheaper plastic belay glasses. These are the best I've used, hands down. Excellent carrying case, work well in front of my glasses (no metal bits contacting my lenses and scratching them!), great field of view and a low enough profile that you can function pretty well while wearing them.

Very strange product. I use them for biking so I don't have to crane my neck on long rides. Well made and reasonably priced. Optics are excellent.

I received my order and base on the instructions is missing a few items. Replacement nose pads, replacement screws, and an alternative nose pads.

Someone suggested maybe I should climb less because the belay was starting to make my neck sore. Obviously that was a ridiculous suggestion, so instead I got these. Amazing. They have saved my neck

Arrived quickly. Glasses are super light and have great visibility. Happy with the purchase.

Utilisé depuis 2 ans. Elle fonctionne très bien, la pochette est très pratique pour l'avoir à son baudrier. Certains peuvent ne pas aimer le côté métal. À l'inverse, moi je trouve ça plus solide, plus léger et plus design que les autres lunettes d'assurage en plastique.

Lunettes à prismes très utiles pour assurer son binôme à l escalade, surtout en tête. Les cervicales sont préservées. Il faut un petit temps d adaptation pour assurer avec; je me suis familiarisé pour de l assurage sur de la moulinette.
