Bryton (Brighton) Rider 410 GPS Cycle Computer

Went from a Garmin 520 to the Bryton 410. The 410 performs as well as, has a clearer screen than, and has massively better battery life than the 520. The 410 fits very snugly into my Garmin mounts too which is great. The Bryton phone app feels basic but does have all the ride info that I ever used on the Garmin, with the added benefit of not being riddled with bugs half the time. The 410 is a no brainer.

Used this between 10-15 times. Simple to use and battery life is great. However on two occasions the unit has frozen. The first time the display froze and it wouldn’t it turn off. The second time it froze again and turned off but wouldn’t turn on again. The app is basic but functional. But lately the auto upload from the unit to the app has stopped working and it doesn’t see the file to be uploaded so have to do it manually. Overall a bit disappointing and unreliable. Not really worth the money unless these issues are fixed by firmware.

Riscrivo la mia recensione e assegno cinque stelle a questo dispositivo. Il merito va certamente al nuovo firmware e all'app per il telefonino che è DECISAMENTE migliorata. Dal telefono si può facilmente e rapidamente settare l'apparecchio. Decisamente un ottimo acquisto. Consiglio, ovviamente, di aggiornare il firmware con l'app Bryton Update col computer (Mac e Windows) e poi di settarlo con l'aiuto dell'intuitiva app per telefonino (Android e iOS).

Vengo de un GPS más pequeño, un igpsport igs20e, y al principio se me ha hecho un poco extraño, ya que este es más grande. La pantalla se ve correctamente siempre que no te de el sol de lateral, ya que el plástico hace sombras (foto) y a veces con las gafas de sol no ves la info a primera vista, pero nada grave.El GPS es bastante preciso, y me hace el uso perfecto para lo que lo quiero, que es medir mis salidas en bici. Lo que es una maravilla es que lo conectas al móvil por Bluetooth con la app de Bryton y cada vez que te salte una notificación en el móvil o recibas una llamada, te salta en la pantalla del GPS (se puede quitar para que no te avise), no sale el mensaje completo, pero lo justo para ver si es importante para contestar o no, y ahorrarte sacar el móvil para mirarlo.La app, es un poco primitiva, pero controlas todos los aspectos del GPS desde ella, lo puedes configurar “al gusto”, y además si tienes cuenta en Strava, cuando acabes la ruta, el GPS carga el entreno en la app de Bryton y esta a su vez se sincroniza con Strava.Trae dos enganches de estos redondos con buenas gomas para enganchar en Manillar o potencia, una correa pequeña (por si te lo quieres colgar de la muñeca?), un cable USB, y unas pequeñas instrucciones. Echo en falta que lleve un protector de pantalla para no tener que comprar uno y esperar un mes a que llegue (me he tenido que fabricar uno).El soporte que veis en las fotos lo compre a parte, para hacerme el guay como si tuviera una bici aero, pero tiene dos fallos:el GPS baila una burrada y hace que me de cuenta que mi potencia es horrible.En resumen, si quieres un GPS para registrar tus entrenamientos o las salidas, NO necesitas que te guíe, y no te lo quieres gastar en un Garmin, este Bryton es tu nuevo amigo.

Good cycling computer. Great battery life. Syncs with Strava through the Bryton app on the phone. Would buy the newer Rider 420 now but that is more expensive.
