This E string has potential
I have had a terrible experience trying both the viola and cello sets of these strings, but surprisingly, the gold e string isn't bad at all. This string design must be good for higher pitches. The cello versions are the worst strings I've ever used, the viola set is pretty mediocre, and this violin E string is actually pretty nice. It has a clear sound and some nice resonance.
