Fit and worked as expected. These brushes plus watching a youtube video (can't post links in reviews) saved me a ton of $$$. The replacement was easy and gave me a chance to clean up all the old graphite from the old brushes! That is one thing the video doesn't talk about. Wear gloves. The sheetmetal is sharp and one deep cut will cost more than what you might have saved in a service call. After the funny smell , actually a little pleasent, showed up during the use of the washer, I double check to make sure nothing was burning. All ok. It german so it's metric. You need some torq's bits for dis/reassembly.

I’ve replaced the brushes twice in the past 10 years on our Bosch washer. These brushes wear a bit faster than the originals, but for 7 dollar repair that takes 20 minutes it’s hard to beat.

Who knew a $7.35 piece will fix a $450 washing machine. This part saved me money from having to replace my washing machine and from spending money at the laundry mat.

My Bosch Axxis washer is 14 years old. I usually do 3 or 4 loads per week. I couldn’t believe how worn down my carbon was compared to the new one. I found a video on YouTube and had it fixed in 30 minutes. Thank you so much, my washer is humming away getting the job done, and I couldn’t be happier.

The copper blade by design has a hole. The purpose of this hole is to let a little tab on the mating plug to snap in, so the plug will not disconnect from the brush under vibration. Unfortunately the hole on the copper blade is too small to snap with the tab on the plug. After a few days of operation. They disconnected due to vibration. I enlarged the hole with a drill bit, but it still would not snap with the tab because it’s position is wrong. It should be about 1 mm closer to the end for proper alignment. What I ended up doing was to bend the blade a little bit to increase friction, hoping that it will not disconnect over time. By the way, the reason I need to replace the brushes fairly frequently is because of a design flaw in the Bosch motor itself. The two brushes touch the commutator along tangential direction, as oppose to radial direction. During normal operation the high-speed spin is always in one direction. Therefore the brush that is against the direction of high-speed rotation wears many times faster than the other brush. In the past few years I replaced 8 brushes in one side but did not have to replace a single one in the other side. (I bought 8 more this time.)

This fixed my problem and washing machine works great again. No issues with replacement. These brushes fit as expected. Saved ourselves a few hundred dollars with this repair. The motor does sound louder than usual with these brushes but I expect the noisiness to subside once they get a little more broken in.

If your BOSCH washing machine drum stops turning, 90% chance its these motor brushes. They wear down after about 5 years or so and need to be replaced. May seem tricky but I'm no repair person and I got it done in about an hour. Thank YouTube as well.

Bosch model WFMC1001UC/06 wouldn't spin. The brushes fit perfectly and it was an easy repair to the motor.
