I had my husband cut mine down because I am short, (5'2") but I really like it. I use it indoors. Not sure how it would hold up here in the northeast with the snow & ice. Otherwise it is dependable & sturdy. 😊

I previously ordered and received a Carex 7/8" diameter cane which was actually about 13/16". That cane was to replace my old (12 years) 7/8" (actual) cane which was to become a spare cane. However that new cane had more flex than I was comfortable with, so I gave it away. I ordered this Carex 1" cane assuming it would be less than 1" and thus I was pleased that it is actually 15/16" in diameter. This new cane is comfortable to use, very stable and has little flex. It is excellent cane, except for the rubber tip which is a standard 1" inside diameter rubber tip, making it a bit too loose on the 15/16" cane. Sooner or later the tip will come off. A cane without a rubber tip can be dangerous.

I've been using the one I made for 15yrs, and I ran across this one and lovéd the color. Them I got it and its Alot lighter thany old one -ighly recommended.

Purchased to carry when traveling and as a backup. It is sturdy enough to hold my weight (230 lbs) without issue or concern, looks good. Can't beat the price. I have no idea what type of wood it is made of, but i had no issues. It is very light and the stain doesn't rub off. It isn't oak or hickory, but again, the price reflects this.
