Q: Is it normal for this product to turn black in the tube? It turned black on my facial brush as well. After weeks of use of course.

This is happening to mine too. I only noticed it because I put it in a travel container.... I am wondering what it will look like if i cut open the tube.

Q: Does it foam? Do I need to use wash with face soap after using it ?

It does not foam. It's like applying a cleansing cream to your face. Massage it in gently, then rinse. It feels fabulous! I've not used soap afterwards - feels fresh and clean without it.

Q: What is the percentage of alcohol denatured ?

Hello. Different types of alcohols are used in many natural personal care products. Alcohols serve a variety of functions within our formulas from stabilizers to surfactants to preservatives to opacifiers. At Burt’s Bees, we use natural (found naturally in plants) or naturally-derived (derived from natural components, but made through a process of fermentation) alcohols in some of our formulas. Most of these alcohols are below 1%, but it depends on the product. In our hand sanitizer or acne treatment, for example, alcohol serves a greater purpose in the formula, so will be included at higher levels, therefore listed near the top of the ingredient list. But, in other cases, alcohol plays a less significant role in the formula at levels less than 1%. In this case, it may still appear at the top of the ingredient list if the formula has a high content of water, which would be listed first and then all of the ingredients that follow would make-up around 1% of the formula.
