This Water WOW! Vehicles activity pad checks all of those boxes. The mess-free design is ideal. Children use a water pen to reveal the pictures, and once the pages dry, the images disappear so the activity can be repeated again and again. It supports fine motor skills, visual attention, and early problem solving without overwhelming a young child. This pad has been especially helpful during travel, waiting rooms, and restaurants. My 2 girls (1 and 3) love this little book. Great quality and lasts time after time. Great value for the money and great addition to our play to go bag- keeps them busy for long amounts of time without mom having worry about them making a mess. Easy to use. Cute images. Fun for the kids. All around win.

Was a hit with our 2,5 toddler on a long car ride. Loved the ease of use and that it is mess free. The only drawback I see is that if they start using the water pen too hard the paper will scratch and the color appears, but its bound to happen with a toddler. She didn't seem to mind though. Loved that there were several items to be discovered on the page it was very fun.

These Water Wow activity books by Melissa & Doug are the best! They're for my kids, of course, but I love them myself. It's just a lot of fun coloring with the water and bringing out the colors of the picture. Then wait for it to dry and start all over! It entertains for hours! And it's a great "church" book. Keeps kids quiet with no mess! We actually received our first of these water books as a gift ... from another maker. We LOVED that book so much that I started looking for more. That's when I found these by Melissa & Doug. They are the same as the other only they have improved the brush. The Melissa & Doug brush is more like a paint brush that is flexible back and forth. The water also flows out at a better rate, which keeps it from coming out too much at a time, so the water is contained in the brush and does not get all over the book. They are also easier for kids to fill up on their own, without adult help. And they hold more water! For the brush alone, I am partial to the Melissa & Doug books. (However, there are more designs available by other brands.) (The price is pretty good when bundled, but alone can get a bit pricey. I wouldn't pay more than $4.99.)

My kid has been playing with water coloring books (the mess free one's, since he was 2, and now he is 3) He just year them. We personally like the "Water magic" from Galt. But Mellissa & Doug have done a decent job. lets compare: M&D: Brush is similar to a painting brush, but much thicker like a fat pen from the back. Since this are holds water. Made of ok quality plastic. Galt: Brush is like a small sturdy pen: No leakages hard to break if the kid throws it M&D: Drawing books: Quality is good, The water dries down quickly. Better for 3+ yr kids, rather than 2 yr olds Galt: Drawing books quality is top notch, the water takes the right time to dry out, so kids dont have to paint again and again.. especially the 2 yr old's :) Net, M&D is value for Money Galt: A bit more high end than M&D, but both of them do the Job very nicely, havent had any issues at all

My three year old is obsessed with this thing. He loves “painting” the train and the cars and pointing out the colors to me. I love that it’s infinitely re-usable. The water on the pages dry pretty quickly and the brush doesn’t drip as long as you screw it on tightly, so it really is no mess. It’s definitely portable and has held together through several water sessions.

Muy bonitos dibujos como todos los Water wow que hemos comprado. Sobre la queja de que se tuercen mucho, pues es lógico si no se le da tiempo para secar bien antes de cada uso, pero dejando que seque por varias horas, no hay tal problema.

Fantastic for occupying young children. My 3 year old son doesn't have much focus for actual colouring in restaurants, but if we take one of these out we can keep him still for a while! Only shame is there is no where to store the pen and is bound to get lost!
