Shocked by the quality of this knife.
I was in a bit of a gambling mood, so I decided to buy this knife as I've been wanting a Damascus (or at least Damascus-looking knife) for a while. I've never heard of Samior, and don't even know if that's actually the brand name. I assume this is manufactured by some nameless factory somewhere in China. But that doesn't change the fact that the knife seems to be of decent quality. The ergonomics of the knife are fine for what it is. It's obviously a very thin knife, so it can only be so comfortable, but there aren't really any rough edges (save for part of the frame lock, but it's not too bad). Everything seems machined pretty well, and there's great attention to detail. There's no blade play at all, and the frame lock is pretty secure. The blade isn't quite shaving sharp out of the box, but it's close. The blade is very thin and light, as advertised. I don't have the equipment nor the knowledge to test the steel, but it looks fine. Looking closely at the spine of the knife, it does seem to have a core of different material sandwiched by other steel. The blade seems quite symmetrical. It opens smoothly, and stays closed very well. The clip is at the edge of one side of the knife, so it will sit quite hidden in a pocket. Is it a good price? I think there are many more practical knives at much saner prices. But I specifically chose this knife for impractical reasons, specifically its appearance. I'm 100% satisfied.

Very happy with this knife!
This is now the 2nd Samior knife that I have purchased from Amazon and I am thrilled at the value I am getting. I love the styling of their knives, they’re very "clean", simple and modern looking. I was really surprised at how unbelievably light this knife is, especially considering the Titanium handle. It’s going to be a perfect addition to my EDC. And best of all, it really feels like a quality product, it’s clear this knife is well put together. The action is very crisp. And the knife opens quickly and smoothly. It’s also very easy to close, which is not always the case with flipper knives. I hate feeling like I am tearing up my finger trying to close one….And that has not been the case with either of my Samior knives. Overall, I am definitely happy with this purchase. I feel like I got excellent value for my money. After now owning two of this company’s knives, I’m shocked they don’t cost more. And this will continue being a brand I look to when browsing for a new knife for the collection. 5/5 stars for me ******************************* I rely heavily on reviews when I make purchases so I put some time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal or business use so I can help other people considering that item. Exceeded my expectations
I've only had this one for a week or so, but first impression is wildly impressed! I really like the feel of this knife when I'm holding or using it. The blade is beautiful and the handle, elegant. Still, it is quite sturdy and exudes quality construction. When I bought it, I thought it would be awkward because it's so long... not true. The slender design allows me to clip it to the side of my pant's front pocket and not scratch my knuckles when I reach into my pocket for something else. It has the feel of a pen knife and that's what I wanted. I am still getting used to the Damascus blade though. The edge doesn't feel the same as a carbon steel blade at first feel with my finger I thought "not the best edge but let's give it a try" but I'm telling you what, it has melted right thru anything I've put it to yet. 'Had a German friend of mine who knows alot about knives explain the reason it's that way, and it's the layered steel... so is the edge layered. This is a classy, quality piece. Definitely a gentleman's knife.

Light Weight Solid Grntelman's Knife
Like another of the reviewers I also have been collecting knives all my life. I still have every knife that ever came into my possession since I was a kid. What's wrong with me? Of the models offered I opted for the Damascus drop point blade. I also will compare it to the CRKT CEO - a favorite of mine in the gentleman's knife category. The Samoir is much lighter - 1.5 oz. I have fountain pens that are heavier. It truly is easily carried in your front shirt. pocket. The blade is centered and there is NOT any play when it is locked open. The craftsmanship is first rate and it's a good looking knife. I have one criticism. The the pocket clip is positioned wrong. It's needs to be placed on the end of the knife where the blade flipper extension is. That puts your index finger in position to open the knife when it is pulled from the pocket. The clip position at the other end of the knife means it has to be turned around after it is pulled from the pocket.

A true Gentleman's Knife
Very well made knife. Description is true, it is real VG10 Damascus (bought 2 so i could test one myself) very nice/smooth opening and closing mechanism and VERY SHARP. Im a buisness man so i am always in a high quality nice suit, and i can say without a doubt this knife goes very well in classy/gentlemans attire. (I am in my late 20s so dont worry younger peoppe, it isnt one of those knives that only look good on a dressed up older man) I will be buying more of these for my colleagues who also carry a knife but struggle to find a classy yet effective folder. Very satisfied, fantastic product.

It's small but elegant
Looks good, way skinnier then i realized. If they had used titanium in the handle at the end or would be a lot better. Because its so thin and light until the end though it's the worst balanced knife i have ever held and the assisted open is a joke. The Damascus looks nice, i want to know what the core is because you can see the acid etched a different metal core
