Great pressing, quality sound.
Found an irresistible offer on this good PJ second album. Little did I know that it was not a 33rpm double LP, but a double 12 inches 45rpm.Wasn't very keen on these re editions at higher spinning speed. But, after first listening, I was gladly surprised of the sound quality and perfect pressing. The sound is so much better than the ceedee issues, now the sound is more balanced. On the CD, Vedder's voice occupied all the space, now you can listen the other four virtuosos more clearly and enjoy the songs on a more complete manner.

It's a 45 rpm LP
Well, after returning the album twice because of the mumbled sound and garbled vocals, on the 3rd copy I realized that it was a 45 rpm LP, I've been buying albums since 1975 (Kiss Alive) I still own and listen to all of them, there was at no time even an inkling of a thought that the reason the first two copies sounded the way they did was because I was playing them at the wrong speed, pretty sure it's the first time in my life I've ever even seen a 45 rpm LP. Needless to say, when I figured it out the third copy plays fine, sounds great, nice loud recording. Thanks to Amazon for sending replacements with no hassle!

GOING!
This is the follow-up to the epic "Ten", of course. A strong effort here, start to finish, a few bumps in the road but definitely a worthwhile listen. "Elderly Woman..." is my personal favorite but there's a lot of good stuff here.

One of my best sounding records
I own the 45 RPM version and it sounds amazing! I had to return my first copy because it was warped bad. It still played great but wobbled. My 2nd copy that Amazon sent wasn't warped at all. Overall, I gave it 5 strs because it is an awesome album from the 90's and it is probably my best sounding out of the 90 albums that I own!

The Quintessence of Pearl Jam...Their Best!
Vs. is, in my opinion, PJ's best album, on a number of levels:First of all, it is the deepest of the 7 albums, without one of those songs in which you feel like hitting the "Skip" button. Every other album (yes, even Ten) has one, whether it's "Heyfoxymophandlemamathatsme," or "Habit." Secondly, Vs. has an excellent variety of tunes: Slow, melodic songs (Elderly Woman, Indifference), faster, harder tunes (Leash, Animal, Go), mid-tempo ballads (Daughter, Dissident) and emotional, powerful songs (Blood, RVM, W.M.A). This variety may exist on other albums, most notably "No Code", but not to the extent that it exists on Vs. Finally, Vs. has the single greatest PJ song ever to be included in a studio album (thereby excluding "State of Love and Trust" and the epic "Yellow Ledbetter"), Rearview Mirror. If you are looking to get into Pearl Jam, "Vs." and, more specifically, "Rearview Mirror", is the place to start. RVM is Pearl Jam in its purest, most epitomic form, and Vs. typifies PJ like no other album, even Ten.
