Analog Hygrometer HYG-75S Polished Silver Finish Hygrometer

I bought this for a humidor I was making. When I received it, it was about 5% low by the salt test. I adjusted it, and it held for 24 hours. The area below bezel is 1 3/4 inches, with the o-ring it's nearly 2 inches, the same size as the bezel. That makes it hard to surface mount, however, using a 1 3/4 hole cutter, the fit is tight enough that the hygrometer "snaps" into place. Perhaps a more experienced craftsman wouldn't have an issue with the o-ring and a very precise mounting hole. If you're surface mounting remove the backing magnet, if you're using the magnet, remove the o-ring. This will ensure proper measurement. I'll update this if there are any issues.

Worked great for the first week after buying 2. After that they would no longer stick to their bases which also within a day also fell off. Seems like a pretty cheap product that will only last for a short time. If you want a quality product this is not your option.

Id purchased this same item a few years back, and it had an adhesive and magnetic backing. I reordered another expecting the same, but it's a hair larger and does not have an adhesive and magnetic back. I tried using my old hygrometer's magnetic back and it does not cling to this latest model. It may be a plastic back. I called Amazon as they are the fulfiller and they did not have a way to contact their supplier (which I guess is rare from what they said.) Anyway, just passing this along if you liked to stick it on a wall or inside of a humidor, you will have to self mount this newer version.

Works good and seems to be very accurate. I did a salt and wet rag test and adjusted accordingly. I like the magnetic mount, nice touch.

Adjustable but not as accurate as the AcuRite 00613A1 which I got to replace this.

Very nice, seems accurate. Concurs with another quality hygrometer I have. This thing is a stout piece of metal and glass. Heavy. I was going to put it in a guitar case, but if it ever got loose, ouch. I'll find a use for it. I gotta admit, it's very nice.

The hygrometer was even better than I expected. The quality seems to be good, and I think the size is perfect. Not so big that it will take up too much space, but not too small so it is easy to read.

I tested both with the salt method and the wet rag method - in both cases incorrect readings were shown.

Le doy 5 estrellas básicamente por su alta precisión (para ser analógico casi excelente), el bajísimo costo. Todo a la perfección, lo unico que noto es que viene un poco frágil, pero igual lo tengo pegado, OJO, esto es muy importante, se despega del imán el cual sí queda pegado a la pared, ya que he visto algunos que se pegan directamente y para estarlos calibrando es un rollo... en la pared a una altura considerable, y por lo ligero que es, dudo que caiga. Lo calibré 'primero con el método de la toalla húmeda, me dió sólamente de 1-2% de variación del 95%, lo solucioné y lo dejé un día completo en la prueba de sal en un recipiente sellado, y sólo hubi alrededor de 1% de variación en este segundo, no vi necesarios hacer uno más, pero pensaba hacerlo con cloruro de magnesio. Muy fácil de calibrar, mide perfectamente la humedad (tengo ya uno digital pero no se miran muy bien los números. Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que guste monitorear la humedad relativa ya sea de una habitación mediana-pequeña, algún invernadero no muy grande o un simple cajón de medicina, el cuarto o refri de vinos, donde sea que gustes tener monitoreo de la humedad.

Would buy again. Worked as it should just needed to be calibrated, as most do.

Llegó rápido a Guadalajara, Jalisco México, tal cual esta descrito. Hice la prueba de la sal para ajustarlo y venía 3% abajo, lo calibré y funciona perfecto.

Good value, but inaccurate. Dry reads significantly below zero.

Works just fine.
