I've used all but one of these ten, but I can only find where seven went (shrugs).At first hold, they feel a little cheap, a little lightweight, but not badly so. Installed, they look and feel and *try* to crossthread just like any other PL-259 that's missing the "AMPHENOL" embossing. I don't have expensive measuring gear to examine and grade them on RF handling ability but they seem to do well enough.They're easy enough to use but you WILL need a high wattage iron to solder them. A 30 year old, 30 watt pencil iron from Radio Shack just won't cut it. If you just can't drop $20 on a used 200 watt solder gun, heat your tip (with iron still on) in an oil lamp's flame for about 30 seconds or so before touching it to the solder port of the connector. However you heat the solder, do not leave it on too long: once the solder flows, remove the heat within a second or two or else you WILL melt the insulator of your LMR400 (if not the connector too). Otherwise they're good enough for my 60 watt 2-meter mobile on 115 feet of LMR400, another 15 foot extender, a three foot jumper...Cannot speak to their longevity, especially in weather. The one outside, I have wrapped in self bonding tape from harbor freight and then wrapped in 3M Super 33+ electrical tape to seal out rainwater. But so far they haven't annealed or gone crusty yet, soooo........

Connectors seem well made and a decent enough value for the money. However, the included reducers are advertised as RG8X size (tried on several different brands of coax). They are in fact a size smaller. I had to drill them all out to a larger size to get them to fit my coax.

The connectors were as advertised but the core insulator could be more robust. The center pin shifted off center a bit when it was soldered. There connectors were made to be solder.

Top quality works well, just what I ordered

These were supposed to be for RG8X coax and although they fit ok they were very difficult to solder properly. The connectors are very difficult to heat up and therefore they are prone to cold solder joints and thus they can cause intermittent connectivity issues.

These were exactly what I needed for my ham radio hobby. They are high quality and I bought 2 orders so I will not need to reorder for a few years most likely.

As advertised,,no complaints....
