I purchased these to use two and have two spare. I use one on my iPhone holder connected to my tripod and another one on my artist easel to ensure that it’s straight during set up.

I have found these a must have, I use these mainly when taken detailed shots especially when doing water effects on a tripod,

The twin level is nice. It fits well in the hotshoe of my D700, but there are a few tests that you should do before using. I have my camera mounted on a panoramic swivel, so that it will only pivot in one plane, and not move up and down. I want to set the camera / tripod / pano head horizontal. I use the bubble in the front to back direction, and level the tripod. Then turn the camera using the pano head through 180 degrees - oh dear the bubble now says it is not level. The hotshoe, the level or the swivel is not quite true. The same can be done with the other level, but perhaps to avoid complication just stick to using one level, and rotate the camera to true up the tripod and pano head. Average the readings or mark the level. Its not a great deal out, but why use a level at all unless you need level. as for the rubber hotshoe covers with circular level, they are a bit of a joke. They are too small to be very accurate, but they will give you an indication of approximately level, but most people can do that by looking through the viewfinder or just pointing the camera. Not sure these will improve the accuracy much on that. On the plus side they do work as nice hotshoe covers. Again, checking the level indicated by one of these by replacing with the other type, they disagree. I want to get my panorama accurate to within 1 degree. It remains to be seen how good it is using these. I might need a proper surveying mount and levels for my purposes ?

Useless, they are not level on a flat surface

The bubble levels were low cost and so it may be not surprising to find that the levels were between 2 and 3 degrees out when mounted vertically on the camera hot shoe.

I have just received 2 items out of 4 which supposed to be in the packet.

I needed a bubble leveler for taking pictures for work makes it easier to look down at the leveler when it's on the tripod than to crouch down and make sure that it's even. Actually stays on my camera to protect the hot shoe mount since the camera didn't come with any protectors. Even have extras that I keep on my backup cameras so I can just grab and go.
