Excellent automatic tap reduces infection
Really like this tap. For the position on my sink the horizontal arm would be better a bit longer but that’s my fault for not thinking about measurement before I bought it.

No water flow
I have replaced a standard mixer tap and installed the batteries. The tap does 'click' when hands are infront of the IR sensor but the tap can only muster a drip! The water pressure is low because we use header tanks but the old tap worked perfectly well. I noticed that the tap tails have spring loaded non-return valves built-in so I have been out to purchase replacements with no non-return valve. Having already installed the new tap, found that it didn't work correctly, re-installed the old tap, I couldn't face trying again so I will give it another go tomorrow. If it works then great but if not then its a return, more effort!

Supplied with cheap parts that break easily and no response from customer service.
Update March 2026: So i'm replacing some things in my bathroom and realised this tap, despite it's faults is still working, so got to give it credit there! I can't exactly remember which bits I changed to get it working, but iirc the company did send out replacement parts, if not a whole tap maybe. i then bought a thicker gasket which took ages finding the right supplier for the exact size, and replacement washers with mesh that had little tabs on to help keep them in the pipe when screwing back on, and brass dedicated valves. The only issues we've had after that is very very rarely the tap being stuck on, or not detecting our hands. And recently the lid was seized on and difficult to get a grip to unscrew, and then when i replaced the batteries it didn't work afterwards, but after moving the wires a little it did, so maybe the connections are wearing now from age, like when headphone cables crackle i guess. Anyway, it's still working despite the numerous issues that I needed to modify myself. Original review from 2011: I'll start off by saying that inside the box was a card that claimed if I was not satisfied or had any issues with installation, don't write a review but contact them first and I will get a reply within 24 hours and receive help that will give me, apparently, 100% customer satisfaction. I wrote an email with 4 issues and supplied photos, as attached here, on a Friday, waited the whole weekend, contacted again on Tuesday morning, and it's now Thursday and still no response. So much for any customer satisfaction!!! First off the design looks great; so much so that we bought another brands tap in a different style that works better, but my family all agree we would prefer this one to work and keep it. This is the main reason for 2 stars, not 1, rating. I emailed them with the hope of being able to get some, if not all, of these issues rectified in some way so that we could keep this tap and have it working. Unfortunately, no response means either I'm going to have to cough up extra for replacement parts, or send it back and look for alternatives. The text below is copied from the email I sent them, to save me having to type it again here. The pics are the ones I sent too. "1) The rubber ring/ gasket that was supplied to sit under the tap between the tap and basin is too thin and doesn't provide a watertight seal. This allows water that collects around the basin or base of the tap to seep through to underneath my basin. I cleaned all the basin and removed any dirt before installing the tap so there was the perfect surface - I also tightened the bolt from below as tight as I could using the provided plastic tool - but it still wouldn't provide a good enough seal. The rubber ring needs to be just a bit thicker and it should solve this problem. (pic 1 inserted here) 2) The process of tightening the nut underneath to fix the tap to the basin, and to try and resolve the seal issue mentioned above, caused the supplied metal plate to bend and start to crack. I only used the supplied plastic tool to tighten this nut and kept tightening until it stopped turning, without using excessive force (as I don't have the room under the basin to apply excessive force), but that alone was enough to cause the metal plate to bend. If the rubber gasket was better, then I wouldn't have needed to tighten it so much. (pic 2 inserted here) 3) The supplied rubber washers with mesh filters are not good quality either. One was slightly too small and caused it to be off-centre when placed in the bottom of the flexi-tail pipe and tightened on to the water pipe. As I couldn't see the washer once I had placed the flexi-tail onto the water pipe, I had no way of knowing it wasn't exactly in place; so the join started leaking once I turned the water supply on. Due to it leaking, I tightened the flexi-tail's nut further, but it still kept leaking. It was only when I removed the flexi-tail that I could see that the washer wasn't centred and the tightening of the nut had caused the washer to be cut into, causing a split which means the washer is now unusable. The problem is worsened by only 2 washers being supplied, so I now would have to go and pay for some new spare washers - something I'm not happy about because these supplied washers aren't good enough quality (in material's robustness or size). (pic 3 inserted here) 4) My system is unfortunately unbalanced with high pressure cold from mains and low pressure hot from a gravity fed tank in the loft. This obviously isn't a complaint about your tap or your fault, but it does mean I need to use a check valve (non-return valve) to help prevent the cold water backflowing into the hot water pipe. The problem I have is the ones supplied with your tap don't feel sufficient enough. They are small plastic valves that get pushed into the bottom of the flexi-tail pipes but can easily get pushed out by the force of the water coming the other way e.g. the valve in the hot flexi-tail pipe gets pushed out once the cold flows through the tap. The only thing preventing this from happening is the rubber washer's metal filter, but it doesn't hold it in place fully as it's not pressed close enough, so allows the valve to shift out by a millimetre, which is enough to start allowing the cold water into the hot pipe. Also, if the mesh was to corrode and break, there would be nothing to prevent the valve from being dislodged and getting forced into my hot water pipe potentially causing problems that would need a plumber to fix. Due to not feeling these valves are secure enough, I would have to go and source a separate, sturdier, dedicated valve that would attach onto the pipe itself, which is going to be additional cost and effort on my part, and a delay due to shipping." The hot water issue isn't resolved by the fact we have a water pump as when the taps on it doesn't allow the pump to trigger, so the hot water just dribbles out. The tap looks good, but there'll be extra cost out of my pocket and time spent researching and ordering spares to fix, and I could still only get a dribble of hot water or the tap could break later down the line if the rest of it is made from as cheap quality as the parts that so far have broke are.

Flow is poor and sensor is intermittent
The good: Tap is good quality and battery design is excellent. The bad: I have great water pressure but the Flexi pipes to the tap limit water pressure and it's very poor water flow. The sensor switches tap off even if your hands are still in front of it.
