Works great for photo darkroom timing
The countdown and turn off function works properly for times between 1 and 60 seconds, making this a good enlarger timer for darkroom use. Early reviews of this device show it not working for countdown and turn off. Countdown and turn off times between 1 and 60 minutes make this an ideal timer for UV exposure units used in alt process printing. Other functions are also useful in photo darkroom work. A very accurate and easy to use general timer for this specialized usage is also easy to see the lcd display under safelite illumination. Very happy with this economical unit.

Impressive Flexibility for a timer at this cost point
I was looking for a timer to activate a solenoid valve to flush a sediment filter for 10 seconds every 6 hours. Hard to find a timer that will turn on and back off in less than a minute. This one does this and works extremely well. I purchased two of them in case one was defective (as some reviewers reported) but I can happily report that both of them are working perfectly. I used the second one to replace an older timer on my lights, like an ordinary timer, to come on at particular times on specific days then turn off likewise, but with a plus/minus 30 minutes of randomness. This timer meets my needs nicely. I did not find it difficult to program it for either of these tasks. In fact, the programming logic seems quite reasonable for a device that is so flexible. I found the instruction sheet to be well written even though it is short; the examples provided for each feature can be easily adapted to any similar circumstance. I will be ordering additional units. This is a great bargain for anyone who needs a very flexible and precise programmable timer.

Real review. Awesome product
Just an honest, no strings attached review. I’ve used multiple of these in my workplace and they are just phenomenal. They allow for tons of different timing settings to make sure our open signs go on and off at the right times on specific days. Great product, I want a piece of feedback would be if it could be even smaller that would be cool.

Multifunction Timer
When I first got this timer and plugged it in the LED screen didn't work i though great piece of junk. I re-read the instruction nothing I noticed it had a rest so I pressed it and everything came on. I dock it one star for that. However I've been using it for aquarium lights ever since super easy to set up, and you can put in up to 19 different timer settings. it's been great no complaints about timer functionality. However my only dislike is it's a bit bulky I have it plugged into my power strip and it blocks the plug below and and next to it. But works great! You can set it sup to the second which not many timers will do from my research. I'm buying two more for my other lights.

Great On/Off interval timer
This is the product I have been looking for. I bought two others before this one that didn't do what I needed them to do. The first one I bought was this one—BN-LINK Short Period Repeat Cycle Intermittent Timer, Interval Timer - Day, Night, or 24 Hour Operation—from amazon. It was almost twice the price of this one and did not work as advertised (I did leave a review on this one as well). The second one I bought was a smart plug—SmartGear Wifi smart plug purchased at Kohl's—and although the smart plug worked really well with accurate on/off times, it didn't have the option to set an on time and an off time to repeat indefinitely. The smart plug also only had 30 programs that you could input and each on time is a program as is each off time—therefore leaving me only 15 on/off cycles in a day. I needed way more than that. Finally, I purchased this one, and it works awesome. I set my on time for one minute, and my off time for 4 minutes and 20 seconds. And these on/off times will continue indefinitely—just like I need them to. The smallest increment that you can set is 1 second. There are other functions on this timer that I'm not going to use. I just needed the interval timer that will continue indefinitely. If you need you can even set the interval timer that will only operate for a specified duration and then turn off.

Capable but difficult to use unless you know the secret
I've used many digital timers over the years, and while this timer is easy to program (you can even set times down to the second!) it doesn't seem to run when you need it to. There are instructions about everything EXCEPT how to make the timer run after the programs are set! After about 30 minutes of fiddling with it, I was able to find the secret - and it is a WELL-KEPT secret! In order to 'run' the timer, press MODE to display the word TIMED. Then press and hold the SET button and press and hold the CONFIRM button, then release the SET button, and release the CONFIRM button. The display will show the word TIMED and the current status of the timer's outlet based on the program settings: either OFF or ON. SIMPLE, right?! I can understand why the Asian-English language barrier made this a daunting explanation in the instructions, so they just left it out (and weren't helpful with their support communications.) But I don't understand why the 'run' process is so complicated. It should simply start working once the settings are programmed. Yet, it doesn't. Now that I have the key, I will keep the timer. But I can't recommend it. UPDATE: after reading further bad reviews about battery life and the timer resetting itself, I returned it. I'm buying several of the GE timers which are more compact, offer easy programming, have clear instructions, and one additional timer setting. Also better reviews! :)

The countdown feature is very handy for kitchen, garage and workshop.
The large display is readable from a distance and it is easily programmed. Once it has been "charged" for a few hours it can be programmed without being plugged in to a wall socket. In addition to the normal functions of a timer and clock the countdown feature allows any kitchen countertop appliance to be turned off or on in a 24 hour period. Most stove tops cannot do this and it makes recipes that require a prolonged simmer time easy and efficient, you can do other things without worry. Steamers will not run dry (can be a fire hazard) and rice won't be overcooked. The easily read minutes and seconds are handy for timing coffee grinders and steeping tea. In the garage and workshop it turns off the battery chargers based on the charger current and capacity of the battery to prolong the life of the batteries because overcharging will damage them. This has proven to be an all-around handy item with a new use popping up from time to time (pun intended).

Great little timer when it’s not trying to kill you
I’m giving this product three stars, but in actual fact this is either a 5 star or 1 star review, I’m not certain which but I feel compelled to share this information. Very quick overview, I bought this product because it could be set up to time by the second. I was using this for my grow tent, I had set up the timer so that on the hour, every hour for 17 hours a day this would pump a 10 second blast of co2 into the tent. A 5 minute read over the instructions and this was very easy to set up and worked perfectly- 5 star review HOWEVER the tent happens to be by my bed and I was asleep the first time it completed it’s 17 hour cycle, the problem is that when I woke up I noticed the Co2 level in my room was unreadable, my monitor only reads as high as 3,000ppm, 4,000 being a lethal dose. By the time I opened all the windows and got the co2 back to a readable level and the speed at which it was declining, I estimate the co2 level was somewhere between 6,000 and 8,000 ppm and I checked my tank which was empty. What happened? I can’t confirm this but suspect that when the 17 hour cycle completed, it defaulted to “ON” which them emptied my co2 tank and it’s deadly contents into my room as I slept. It was hooked up to a 5lb tank, had that of been hooked up to a 15lb or 20lb tank I would not be leaving this review because I’d be dead. - 0 star review. I checked the settings which were correct but I can’t confirm if it defaults to another setting when it completes a cycle as I haven’t tested or refilled my co2 yet but I think I saw another review that mentioned something about this so I wanted to put out the warning even if I’m not 100% of the cause. It works great but be cautious if the mode defaulting to on could be potentially hazardous for whatever reason you intend to use it.
