I love this jacket
This jacket is awesome. The cut is a little different, and I had to go up a size because of the shoulders. I wear a large in black stallion and I an XL in Waylander’s cape sleeves, but I bought a 2X in this. I tried the XL first. It fit great, but I wanted more movement in the shoulders and the arms were too short.I’ve read complaints about the Velcro. I LOVE it. You’ll see complaints on all the other jackets - even expensive ones about snaps breaking. I don’t even snap these snaps. The Velcro seals tight and if you need to shed it fast, there’s no chance of breaking snaps if you just use the Velcro. The neck is tall but it breaks in. The whole jacket is comfortable. The sleeves are fully lined to the cuff. I bought and returned a Revco jacket that claimed to have lined sleeves, but they were only lined about 8-10”. Because if how this jacket is lined, there’s no pinching or binding inside the sleeves. Feels like a regular jacket. There’s no rough cut ends, everything is finished well. The color is awesome. Finally a choice other than black or Tillman orange brown. This jacket looks even better in person. I ended up buying the cape/bib, the apron, and the sleeves. Also, they have awesome customer service. I’ve emailed questions a few times and they are always quick to reply - usually just a few minutes. Super nice and helpful.I have no doubt this jacket will hold up. The leather is soft but thick. The cotton area is lightweight. Anybody shredding the cotton must be grinding heavy in it. I’ll definitely buy this again… unless they have something new out by then, either way it’ll be Waylander. Can’t beat this level of finish at this price.

Some minor issues but awesome overall.
So I've been using this jacket daily for the past two months and I'm pretty impressed with it so far. There are some minor issues but I'm really happy with this purchase. I'm 6'0", 250lbs (proportional, no huge gut, larger chest and shoulders) and I purchased the xxl. Upper chest is a little snug, but not overly tight, and the sleeves are a little long, but button at the cuff and fit easily inside a pair of over-the-cuff welding gloves. The neck is a bit stiff as well initially, and takes a bit of breaking in for it to get really comfortable. I wrapped a cotton bandana around my neck before putting the jacket on for the first several weeks and that helped tremendously with the comfort, but the collar protects well and I haven't had a single spark drop down my collar yet, like I have with other jackets. I was initially put off by the velcro/button combo on the front as well, but this makes it extremely convenient to simply rip off the jacket in the rare case you need to get it off quick. Inverted pockets are a nice feature to protect against pocketing sparks, and I usually keep an additional soap stone and a notebook and pencil there. Internal lining is comfortable. Overall, I would purchase this again and have recommend this jacket to a few coworkers.

Make sure you order two sizes up
I ordered this up one size then I wear and it barely fits. I do a lot of welding outside and would be nice to have warm clothes underneath it but not gonna happen with this. Gonna have to order another one cause I am using this one cause I needed it.

Quality Welding Coat
I'm taking evening welding classes so I can repair stuff around the farm when I retire from my day job (Electrical Engineer). I didn't use the jacket for the oxyfuel cutting, welding and brazing, but am using it every day now that I'm learning SMAW (stick). I haven't done overhead yet (may or may not take the Advanced SMAW), but it works great in the other positions. The cloth body makes it more comfortable than all leather, and I've not had any issues with sparks or heat. Not normally a fan of velcro on anything, but it works well on the jacket.I'm 6'2", 260 pounds and normally wear a 2XL Tall. I tried 2XL based on the chart and it was too short in the sleeves and slightly tight in the chest (I wear a 19" x 37" long sleeve dress shirt...yes, gorilla arms, and 52L suit coat). The 3XL gives me room to move and enough length without being too baggy in the stomach.

Overall the best I’ve found
I bought this for my fiancé because every time he was welding he would come back with burns from the sparks. I know nothing of welding so I did my research before buying this...turns out it was a great purchase! He absolutely loves it & everyone always asks him where he got it.😁 it’s very lightweight, but will still keep you warm. He’s had it for about a year now & no stains, no rips, no burn holes! I am very pleased with the quality of this jacket! Well worth the investment if you’re looking for a good welding jacket!!

3XL is smaller than L
What a nightmare this ordering is. I have now the 3rd jacket and still not the right one.I first ordered a XXL which I could barely close on my belly. The buttons would close but not much room to move around. I returned it and ordered a 3 XL . Unfortunately they sent me a L which will fit my son ok so we ordered the 3rd time and this time they sent a 3 XL. Unfortunately it Is tighter than the L or XXL can you imagine that? What a stupid thing. I will return this jacket and buy another brand.

Ok
So the thing about buying things when u look at it with pictures, I liked the way it looked in the picture . Then I got it and seen it and then knew it looked cool but it’s not all leather , the arms cover is leather but the rest of it is not leather which was a let down , it burned up super fast , welding everyday it lasted about 4 months welding over head with sparks falling constantly

Very durable
This jacket has been amazing so far, I was getting tired of getting burns all up and down my arms from overhead welds. This has definitely proved to be very protective, a little hot and I’m dripping with sweat after awhile but worth it in my opinion
