CRKT This was the knife that started it all.
I had seen a video of this knife from the SHOT show last year and I thought, "man I want that knife." Bare in mind that I hadn't bought a knife in 10 years and certainly nothing more than 20 bucks. But I Put it in my cart here at Amazon and there it sat cause I didn't want to spend the money. I actually bought a Kershaw first and after I was reminded how utilitarian knifes are and how useful they can be in everyday life I finalized my purchase and haven't looked back. It is a sturdy knife that is sper light and feels good in the hands. The textured G10 feels a bit rough, but good. Like other good things in life. The blade is super sharp and has kept its edge. The Ball bearing system on this is super smooth and fast. The one thing I wish was different on this knife is the frame lock, it's a bit hard to get a hold of with my big thumb and I need to press a bit harder than I'd like.

I was very satisfied by my new knife
I was very satisfied by my new knife. It came sharp and opens fluidly after a quick break in. There is little blade wiggle which is not unexpected. It is a very beautiful knife. The grip on the scales of the handle is not as sharp edged as others complained of in other blogs. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Tim Wood

Shame on you CRKT
This knife is seriously disappointing, in that it could have something really great if CRKT were not on this critically flawed design theme of late......form over function. The only redeeming qualities are the blade steel and shape, everything else about this knife makes me want to not ever use it. Handle- it is milled in way that makes it just plain sharp. Everywhere you touch it is sharp. There is a 1/4" cove milled out around the entire edge of the handle that leaves two very sharp 90 degree transitions. The design on the interior makes for some very sharp protrusions that dig into the pads of your fingers in a bad way. Pivot/lockbar- Upon receiving this knife it was very hard to deploy smoothly. I took it apart and immediately noticed that despite this knife being advertised as an IKBS knife, I found no bearings. There is so much tension on the lockbar that not only is it impossible to open smoothly, it also burned through almost all of the ramp on the blade tang in just a few very frustrating deployments to a very late lockup. This tension issue makes the blade off center when closed worse than any other knife I've seen. I tried to bend the lockbar slightly to relieve some tension, but then you don't have enough pressure on the detent to deploy it at all. CRKT- if you're going to make knives critically flawed like this one, use 3cr13 for the blades and sell for $20.

This knife is superb.
I have quite a few knives that are considered to be excellent and this is the one I carry most. I can only presume that CRKT discontinued the knife because it did not sell well, why I cannot say. The G10 handle scales are intricately sculpted and make for a handle that is both beautiful to look at and provide excellent traction. The pocket clip is right hand, tip up only and could be deeper cary, so this is a minor flaw. Ambidextrous with deeper carry and it would be perfect. The satin finish hollow ground sandvik steel blade is visually appealing and holds and edge well. The region above the swedge has a 90 degree spine which adds to functionality. Adjustment of the pivot screw results in a perfectly centered blade and the action with the flipper is smooth and fast thanks to the IKBS system. The weight, while more than a skyline or some other knives in this class, is not a big deal to me. I still do not notice it is there. The one complaint I have is the jimping on the liner lock which is a bit sharp and the knife would be fine without it.

Good Buy
Not bad for the money, good EDC. The blade opening action is smooth and easy. The knife is a little heavier than I expected, but that is about my only complaint

Versand: Wie immer perfekt! Donnerstag bestellt, Samstag angekommen. Zum Messer: + Außerordentlich guter Flipper! Bin begeistert!
