Best of all my guitar stands - THE STRAP!
I love this stand. It came in three easy to assemble pieces, and the latching strap at the top (which comes jet black, not brown as shown) is much easier to use than the rubber strap that comes on stands such as the $5 Musician's friend product. I have many low cost stands and this one looks the best / does a fine job holding the guitar / is easy to latch and un latch with one hand. The guitar sits about 4 inches from the ground compared to other stands sitting around 6 inches (It looks better lower to the ground in my opinion).Great buy, don't sleep on this, especially with Amazon prime!

Great little stand for the money
This stand is exactly as described. The color is very nice and my boy loves it. The only very small, insignificant issue is the bottom holder part that the guitar rests on, can be a little loose. For the money you can't go wrong with this purchase. It's sturdy, keeps your guitar safely placed and easy to get to.

Great Deal
I bought this guitar stand at Amazon for $9.99 plus free shipping. It works great. The base spreads out wide so you don't have to worry about it falling over and there is a little plastic latch that closes over the neck of your guitar so you don't have to worry about knocking the whole thing and the guitar popping out of the neck rest. I've never had any guitar stand before, so I don't know if there are other ones that are a lot better, but this one works well for a great price.

Very nice stand and a good deal
I really like this stand. I could tell from the picture that it would be sturdy and I wasn't disappointed. I am writing this for one main reason, to clear up a slight confusion on "assembly" because one other reviewer mentioned it as well. I kept thinking that I wasn't putting it together correctly because the U shaped base was loose and could spin left or right. This is fine, not an issue. Once the weight of the guitar is on the stand nothing is moving anywhere. Assembly is super easy.

Quality-made 2nd time buying
So, I bought one of these about five years ago for my acoustic guitar (Ibanez Artwood dreadnought) and I still use that one for that guitar. When I bought my electric guitar (Ibanez S series), I first bought a cheap Chromacast stand of a very similar design... needless to say, I returned that and spent the few bucks extra to get a second one of these. If anything, the quality is even better than the first stand I got five years ago. It really is quality-made and well built. The padded areas are a pretty dense foam/rubber blend that I, from experience, know lasts and cushions well. It's a safe buy.

Like a sarcophagus for my son's guitar
[A minor]When my son first became interested in guitar lessons, I told him he could forget it. No son of mine was going to become a hippie crooner complaining about every injustice the world had to offer. No way. But, being the sensitive father I am, I relented, and soon he began to take lessons. Weeks passed, and he could play the opening sequence to "Desire" by U2. I was beside myself with despair. But the worst part was, with him practicing all the time, his darned guitar was always lying around the house. On the couch, the floor, the porch, his bed - even in the bath tub once but I think I might have been the one who put it there.[E minor]Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that I bought this stand for him and, ever since, his guitar has sat there untouched. Finally! No longer do the strains of music or children's laughter fill our home! Finally, I can hear the world around me again! The floorboards creaking, the refrigerator cycling off after a hard day's work, the keyboard tapping as I surrender the last shards of my broken soul to a website that seriously solicited me to review a guitar stand.[C major]Truth? It's a fine guitar stand. Works great. Highly recommended.

For people that are interested in reviews of products several years after purchase please see my experience below:Previous years product was purchased: 8+ YearsShipping: As expectedAmazon handling: As expectedReview:I bought this guitar stand several years ago when I was trying to get into guitar. It did work ok, however it did seem a little loose but did hold the guitar. I did like the swing down latch it saved the guitar a few times from falling off. Eventually I gave up the music career as I did not enjoy it as much as I would have hoped. I gave it to a friend that is still using it today. I would purchase this again if I ever got back into guitar!
