These lights last all night
I've had these lights up for about six weeks now and they have worked through extreme heat and rain storms, and I feel they are very good considering the reasonable price. The solar panel is attached to the front of the metal building entrance, partially protected from rain but also partially blocked from all day sun and they work well. The photo was taken less than five minutes before they shut off in the morning and you can see that the lights are still on. It's important to note that these lights aren't super bright but do the job very well for highlighting the entrance to the building. I think they would work very well for trees or locations that are in an area with no electricity

Total disappointment.
I really was hoping these would work. They would have been perfect for our campsite. I followed all of the instructions and they worked fine at home. They were fully charged when I set them up at camp. The solar panel also faced the sun the entire day. Darkness falls.....the lights don't work. The on/off switch does nothing. The mode switch does nothing. What a huge disappointment.

Work great
Currently using them on steady and they last until about 1am.

Don't hold the mode and now has stopped working at all.
I have had a few different solar fairy light strings and these rank in the middle for overall satisfaction. I use 1 string each on 2 trees in my back yard and the string length and number of lights gives good coverage. While there seems to be a difference in the amount of time they stay lit, they generally last well past midnight. Two things that I find unsatisfactory are 1) they don't come on as early in the evening as I would like and 2) They seem to change mode at will. Having had others I do have a comparison point and previous strings did not have these issues. Of course, I would have ordered more of those had they still been available especially since they lasted about 5 years. These lights have been up for 2 months but I can't comment on if they will last as long as the others. Update: One of my 2 strings has stopped working after only 2 months. I will look for a different manufacturer.

Fairy lights for my magical garden
I was a little uncertain about having the white light, vs warm lights, so I bought them both. I love the white fairy lights in my mystical garden. I have a lot of solar lights and my little patio transforms from a beautiful garden by day into a magical, mystical garden by night.

These Lights Aren't Great
I went with one long string instead of two short ones so that I only had to manage a location for one solar panel. It took a very long time to wrap an arbor with that long of a string. Once up, they looked perfect--for 3 nights. I set them up on the steady setting, so no blinking or twinkling, or flashing, or fading in/out. On the 4th night, they were cycling through ALL of the settings. I went outside, restored them to the steady setting, and they stayed that way for the rest of the night. The next night when they came on, they were cycling through all of the settings again. I fought this for a week, going out every night and resetting them, then just turned them off as the flashing lights looked ridiculous. I give up. I'll need to spend an hour unwrapping the arbor--but I just keep hoping they will magically fix themselves.

Couldn't be easier!
Last year my yard had 300 feet worth of extension cord and a few 4 way plugs laying around the yard trying to light different spots. In total I have bought 4 of these kits and setup was way less hassle. Only 50' of cord and 1-4 way plug. They are not as bright as bulbs plugged into AC power, but they are very visible at night.I do wish the lights had a timer function built in. If they only lit for 6 hours a night, a single cloudy day wouldn't have such an impact on the time that they are on. As it is, they stay on until the battery drains. If you had full sun all day, expect to get 10-12+ out of the lights. If it's a cloudy day, you may get 4 hours. Despite the cloudy day performance, the next sunny day they were on again for 12 hours that night.First impressions with the lights inside the house was the color was odd/off. In place outside, they look like Christmas lights.Tips1- Be sure to remove the film on the solar panel2- Give the lights 6 hours of solar charge before using the first time3- Check your solar panels are sitting in the best spot for 4-7 hours of direct sunlight

Warm light in the winter darkness
The lights install easily. I really appreciated the tangle-free feeding method with which they wrapped/folded the cord. Didn't have to fight the cord to straighten out.We snaked the lights through our front gate (14') and had plenty to do the top, middle, and bottom rails.Being solar, the lights' solar panel do need good sunlight to charge well. A good charge will last through the night. We had a fairly cloudy day a few days ago and the lights were off before I left for work, whereas usually they go off with the sunrise. I'd assume the solar panel is of a cheaper variety, as usually only higher end models can charge well in cloudy conditions. We haven't had any heavy rain/ice/snow yet, so I am not sure how waterproof they actually are, but so far they have held up well. The lights are not super bright. If you are expecting the same brightness as a plug-in strand, put that aside. But they do cast a nice, warm glow and are bright enough without being glaring. I didn't want them to be super bright, so I'm not docking points for that.Overall, the lights were easy to unwrap and install. The solar panel lead line has enough room to place in the ground. The light the product provides is what I was looking for.I'll try to get some pictures to add to the review, if possible (I've never tried to edit a review).
