I used these to protect my desk as well as leave a printed calendar and other documents under to protect from my laptop while working from home. The sheerness makes it easy for me to see my calendar when planning meetings. They do get scuffed up a bit, but nothing too distracting.

Don't just think placemats! These are strong enough to be used for all kinds of things. I used them to protect my table in decorating a Christmas village. I have put them under plants which I had on table tops. I put them under cutting boards. Try them, you'll see.

I bought these because my kids eat at our counter and it always seems to be sticky. While these do the job to sort of contain the mess I really wanted something transparent. These are a milky color so you can definitely see them on the counter. Not sure if they are heatproof other than we have put plates and bowls on them with hot food and the placemats did not melt. So they do their job but I wanted something transparent so you almost wouldn’t be able to tell there was anything there.

Easy to cut. Lined bottom of several baskets used for storage in the bathroom.

These are not at all sheer. I have a beautiful live edge table that I don't want to cover but I do want to protect. These just are not very nice looking.

Placemats were just what I wanted. They protected the tablecloth while still being able to see the tablecloth resign. Nice size also.

Great place mats to use for our outdoor table. Very sturdy and wipe off easily.
