This product seems to work very well , and I like it , but a recent experience with it has me wondering how it actually " eliminates " odors . I'm wondering if this liquid essentially " coats " the fabric at a molecular level , thus sealing the odor producing bacteria or chemicals with the fabric , like some awful household air sprays do on furniture fabric and as an interior air dispersant . Here's the issue I may be having with this product . I have several 800 GSM Turkish bath sheets , very heavy and thick . I've had them about 18 months and started to notice they began presenting a slight odor after laundering that was noticable beyong the scent of the detergent ( Tide powdered ) . So I tried the powdered " odor eliminating " enzymes , in particular a leading , highly rated brand I found here on Amazon , and after about two months of consistent use I don't believe the enzymes made a bit of difference . The odors seemed to be about the same , wash after wash . So I searched and read reviews , and in doing so found this product , LOE . I ordered it , started using it and was shocked to realize it actually WORKS ! The offensive , low key odor in my towels was gone . So I've been using it for about 6 months or so and this past week I noticed something awful . A day or two before I had washed 3 or 4 of my towels , plus some t shirts and underwear together , adding Harris Washing soda , Harris Borax , Tide detergent , the full dose of LOE and a cup of regular bleach . So this particular morning I showered and used one of the towels I had just laundered to dry off . As I toweled off , I got hit with the most disgusting , fishy / metallic odor . I honestly thought it was me and thought maybe I absent mindedly forgot to soap up , so I repeated the process and began to towel off again . The odor was still present , and when I went to get dressed , I could swear I smelled it even more as I pulled a tshirt on . Well , long story short , I realized that in using this product , DO NOT USE IT WITH BLEACH . Apparently it will react with bleach and create a permanent odor in fabrics . I researched this , mentioning the brand name of the product and it's intended use , and got confirmation from two sources that it will create a very offensive odor when mixed with bleach . Finally , the reason why I question HOW this product supposedly eliminates odors is because after all of this , I've washed the three towels and my underwear and t shirts SEVERAL times , using only hot water , Tide and the Harris water conditioning additives . Strangely , with one towel the odor seems to have been removed ( or maybe it wasn't fully exposed to the LOE during the wash cycle ), one seems about the same , and the third seems to have an INCREASED odor , and most of my tshirts ( Gildan 100% cotton ) have the odor also , while my underwear ( cotton / elastane trunks ) seem to smell like Tide . It seems as though the odor is permanently embedded or maybe burned into the fibers of some of my items . I think I will instead begin to use 99% industrial vinegar diluted to 5% with pure baking soda as a pre wash / rinse for built up odors before washing with detergent in a regular cycle from now on . I believe this product doesn't actually remove odors , rather , it seals them leaving a chemical film and ultimately changing the fabric in doing so .

I bought this because, i would find washing the dogs blankets (especially after boarding) they were still smelly even after 2 washes. I add just a small amount (measuring out the amount using the reservoir within the bottle) to laundry detergent. Blankets come out smelling fresh and clean after only one wash. No skin irritation for me or pups. Good quality products by this company. I highly recommend this product.

It's expensive but it does work. Smells great and really helps with urine order and my dog's "corn chips" smell that is left in anything she happens to sleep on. I used LOE when I worked in a kennel and I have always loved the smell and the ability to use around pets.

I very rarely write reviews for things I buy on Amazon but this stuff really, truly works. I work out in a heated studio and my clothes are dripping wet with sweat afterwards. Seriously, it's like I just got out of the shower. After a few months of wearing them, they gained a permanent funk that I could not eliminate. I tried enzyme boosters, active wear specific detergents but nothing worked. This effectively gets the odor out of my gym clothes without leaving a heavy fragrance or residue/coating. The smell is similar to a traditional laundry detergent, not tropical or perfume-y.
