Case Housing Frame Mount Compatible with GoPro Hero7 Black/Silver/White, Hero6/5 Black, Hero(2018) Cameras

Good price and great quality

I've been testing this product in the field now regularly for about a month and am very impressed! It's sturdy and seems as well made as the original equipment from GoPro, so I have no concerns about its longevity. It fits my Hero 7 Black perfectly and most people probably wouldn't recognize it as anything but an original case. But those who use the 7 Black with the original case will immediately notice the improvements! Two big things stand out for me: the cut out for the door and the lens cover. First, having a full-sized cutout for the access door is amazing and I don't know why GoPro didn't think of this. Being able to connect the power cord and charge the camera's battery while it's still in the housing is fantastic. And while it's technically part of the case itself, the added bonus of a lens cover is an outstanding addition. There have been so many times when I've wondered why GoPros don't have lens covers. The only problem I have ever had with this thing is A) remembering to take the lens cover off and B) remembering which pocket I put it in! One of the best products I've seen as an after-market replacement in a long time.

I like my GoPro Hero 7 Black camera. I love how it can me mounted in so many ways. The one thing I did not like was having to remove it from the frame to download media and charge it back up -- which I do several times a DAY. I often work in the rain and wanted to retain the waterproofing but needed better access to the port door. Sametop's GoPro frame has provided that with it's enlarged hole over the port door. The frame fits my GoPro perfectly, features openings for microphones and the speaker, It appears to be made of similar material and in an equal thickness as the original GoPro frame. The mounting knuckle fits my accessories well and even included another snap-in mount and thumb screw. If there is a down side it is that the larger opening over the port door means the side rails are thin for a longer distance. That could make the frame more fragile in "extreme' sports -- which I don't do. I imagine I will be very happy with this frame. It even includes a handy protective lens cap. Just make double sure you take that sucker off before you begin shooting or you will get audio only recordings. Yes, I know that from experience. Very disappointing to have lost some great footage. Don't be me, check the lens cap.

I'm not sure why GoPro didn't include these access ports for their cameras. We went on a trip recently and brought our GoPro Hero 7 along and used the OEM GoPro mount on a floating handle. It was such a PITA to constantly remove the housing to charge the device. With this new housing, you have complete access to the charge port making life so much easier. As far as durability, it seems just as good as the OEM housing. I have no complaints. My OEM GoPro mount is now just sitting in storage.

Ive attached photos comparing original housing frame (left) and sametop housing frame (right). I love it! My original frame broke while traveling and the sametop housing frame is a perfect for my gopro hero5 black. The cutouts are more generous for button pressing and microphones than the original frame. The housing frame came with a mount, and is also compatible with official mounts. The included mount also fits official accessories just as you'd expect. Also the lens cover is great. Last one i had (different brand) fell off with the slightest touch but the sametop lens cover fits snuggly and doesn't feel like it will fall off every time i throw my gopro in my bag. Highly recommend this product if you find your official housing frame broke.

Nice, solid and fits my old arss hero 5 perfectly than the original housing that it came with years ago lol. On top of that its nice to be able to have the covering back on the ports without having to take the cam out of the housing. I finally have a use for my cam and glad that this was available.
