I have always used folded cardboard under my bookshelves to keep them leaning against the wall. Carpet padding isn't the best foundation. So when I found these I thought I'd try them. I really thought they would be larger 1 x 2 inches approx. Textured and firm, they do seem to be holding my shelf in place. I have used wood shims before an thought these would be about the same size. I guess the smaller size of these makes it easier to adjust the level if needed.

These things are awesome. Our 45 year old apartment doesn't have anywhere close to even floors and these little guys steady a whole bunch of heavy bookshelves (allowing us to better anchor them to the wall) without complaint. Would buy again.

I found the Wobble Wedge plastic ships to be the ideal product to use on my outdoor model railroad. I use them to straighten the sagging tracks and to bank the curves. I have been using them for many years and will keep using them in the future—excellent product and highly recommended.
