Get some if only for salmon!
My favorite "flavored" finishing salt. The state is mild, but it adds great "dimension" to finished foods. My #1 use is a sprinkle on salmon that's been baked with soy, garlic, and ginger. It adds a crunch and a salty "burst" that really make my dinners pop.

The wild mushroom scent is captivating
I had tried a sampler pack of FALKSALT previously and my favorite was the wild mushroom version. I am so happy to once again have it in my pantry.The scent is similar to dried porcini mushrooms, and it adds a wonderful flavor to everything it touches. The salt originates in Cyprus and the flakes are wide and flat and makes for an attractive finishing salt as well as an ingredient.

I LOVE smoked salt and use it in savory cooking, at the tabletop and to add an interesting note to baking with chocolate.I’ve been a Falk Salt user for years but I previously bought 10 packs directly from them until Falk came up with this 4 oz. package and Amazon came up with 1-day delivery. Now I can get it when I need it and don’t have to store a box with 9 small containers.Falk Smoked Salt comes as lovely crystals which are impressive for a finish on food but I whirl it in my mini blender so I can measure it accurately in cooking and sprinkle it easily at the table. It’s got a fantastic flavor which is purely smoke and none of the greasy black carbon that many other smoked salts have that overwhelms food.It’s great on fish and beef and it’s what ripe tomatoes beg for. It’s a great addition to tomato based sauces and to gravy. Honestly, if you give this a try you’ll find so many things that can benefit from just one more note of flavor.

This is such a warmly delicious addition to almost any savory dish! I use it constantly, most recently I rubbed onto steak before searing. I also use on hamburgers, soup, scrambled eggs, anything. Lovely taste that can be layered with other flavors beautifully

Good smoky flavor, friction-fit lid isn't top quality
Excellent flavor, with more smokiness than many others we've tried. If you like your smoke subtle, this may not be for you, but for me it's quite useful, as I can mix with unsmoked salt if I want less smokiness. The container is flimsy plastic, though, and will spill. I knocked it off am 8-inch high shelf onto the counter, and over half of the salt was lost. If you're not clumsy, it's probably not such a big deal, but I'd prefer a screw-on lid rather than friction-fit. 4 stars rather than 3 due to the outstanding texture and flavor.

Great Finishing Salt
Falksalt (generally) is an outstanding finishing salt. It dissolves quickly & has a milder saltiness (weird to say about salt, but compared to a rock/mineral salt it's spot on), but doesn't overpower.Be judicious in applying it because too much salt is, well, too much salt. The flavours don't really stand up to much (garlic, citron, &c.), but there is a hint of the extra.

Hey, i have not ordered one from online YET..I got it as a gift from an out of state relative that purchased this for me at a store called HEB in TX. So before I was even out I decided to look for it here since we don't have that chain of stores in VA.It is amazing. Not just flavor wise but the way it looks as well. it comes in huge crystal pyramids with green bits of wild garlic mixed in. It is so much fun to sprinkle on avocado ,cooked steak, eggs Benedict, you name it.The stuff consists of large and small crystal pyramids so the largest being the size of a pinky finger and down...And it crumbles easy if you rub it..also it is salty compared to pink salt that is also great but in a different way.As for the garlic flavor...I don't like cheap storebought garlic salt as I feel that stuff is artificial in taste I rather use salt and garlic prouder in my food.. This however is subtle. You could tell I love this stuff :)I have not however ordered from this supplier yet and therefore can not wouch for how intact the bits will be when they make it to my porch...Anyway, if you know someone that loves to cook and would like to surprise them..go for it! You won't be dissapointed. It will be the star of your table.
