So I got this along with the Wolf Tooth muli-tool. I like Granite's chain break tool better than Wolf Tooth's but Wolf Tooth's multi tool better. I haven't used this but broke apart an old chain with this to test it out and it works great. The only downside, and this is minor, is it needs a tool to get out. The Wolf Tooth version is friction fit so you just pull it out but with the Wolf Tooth multi-tool in my other bar end I'll just use it to get this tool out. It also comes with both an and cap to cover a bare bar end and one with a bar end with a handle bar. I have a Surly Moloko Bar, which has 4 bar ends, so the top two don't have handle bars so this tool works out perfect. I have Wolf Tooth bar end storage on my lower bars and Granite's for the top so it looks all nice and clean!

This could be a pretty cool tool if they included hardware that was long enough to engage. The set screw will not engage the tool body no matter how hard I try to compress the retaining rubber. Should not be this difficult. Probably needs another eighth of an inch. I've wasted time waiting for two of these and have the same problem. No more Granite tools for me.

A chain breaker is an essential tool for emergency repairs. This is especially true with the high torque of ebikes leading to more frequent chain breaks. Securely stashing this critical tool into a handlebar ensures it is always available when needed without cluttering up the bicycle. These are well-built and durable.

Tool is sturdy and well built. My problem is the rubber stoppers and end caps - the end caps are slightly to large for my grips and the rubber stoppers don't work well; they pop out easily and i am worried will lose it on the trail. I will instead keep this in my hip pack along with the granite stash tire puncture tool. Was really hoping i could keep these in my bars and out of my pack, but they are good tools nonetheless.

I bought this along with the tire plug kit. They're well built and I expect them to last a while. The chain tool does not come with a quicklink, but it has nice spots for the two sides of a quick link to snap into the tool. I was a little wary of the rubber band holding them onto the tool, so I also wrapped that section with some electrical tape. Note that you'll need both a 3mm and a 4mm hex wrench to utilitze the tool - the 3mm unscrews it from the handlebars while the 4mm is used to tighten the chainbreaker bolt. I'm not sure why Granite didn't stick to one size for both of these bolts. A potential issue with this kit is fitting it into the handlebars. As other reviews have mentioned, make sure you measure the internal diameter of your bars to make sure they fit. The tool screws into your bars by compressing a large rubber cylinder (think a half inch segment of rubber hose). It mostly works, but it's impossible to get a high torque value on the bolt to really jam it in there. My torque wrench wouldn't even register 1 Nm before the rubber was completely compressed. Now, it seems like the tool holds its place just fine, but I'd like to see a better design that's able to hit, say, the 4-5 Nm range. I believe the rubber is just too thin - a thicker rubber cylinder might work better.

Bought as a gift for my son who wanted to stop caring so much gear while MTB. Son loves them "Awesome surprise gift". Quality is top notch, fits perfectly into the handlebars, and couldn't be easier to install. Highly recommend.

The clamping screw snapped off when I went to install it in my One-up carbon bars. The clamp seems to have been poorly designed. I agree with another review that the rubber gasket is poorly supported by the tool, which causes it to slide over the tool instead of compressing it to hold it in the bars.. I'll be returning mine, but may try a washer in between as the other review suggested. The tool itself seems well made. It's disappointing they didn't put more effort into the clamp design and testing it.

試してみましたが、チェーンを切ることが出来ます。クランクの空いている穴に収納できます。しっかり止めておかないと走行中に出てくることがあります。

Ho conosciuto per caso questo marchio mentre cercavo altro e sono subito rimasto colpito dagli articoli prodotti. Ho provato questo smaglia catena e non sono rimasto deluso. Ottimi materiali e ben realizzato. Si mette nel tubo del manubrio e si adatta a tutte le manopole grazie agli accessori in dotazione e con qualche accorgimento. Usando la bici su sentieri accidentati non mi sono mai accorto che ci fosse e all'occorrenza si toglie dal manubrio in fretta e si ripara la catena in poco tempo. Ottima la possibilità di inserire nel tool anche una falsa maglia (non in dotazione) da utilizzare all'occorrenza. Di sicuro proverò altri tool di questo produttore.
