Love these shoes! They are the perfect sandals for summertime. Easy to wear, comfortable and beautiful on your foot! The look as great with a bathing suit and cover up as they do with shorts and a cute top! Highly recommend.

I have been wearing Birkenstock sandals since I was a small child (southern California was onto them way before Manhattan and the fashion community caught on) and I am always excited to see newer styles pop up. Right now I'm wearing the Gizeh sandals in a 36 Regular (runs wide by American standards) and they fit very comfortably with room to spare around the front especially. I purchased these in a 36 Narrow, since I wanted them to be more fitted and feminine-looking. Slides can look less than classy if they flap around or don't fit correctly, so I'm happy to report that's not the case with these! They're extremely lightweight and fit close to my feet. The narrow width is most noticeable around the ball of the foot and toe area, which is much smaller than my regular width birks. The heel and arch regions are only slightly more narrow. They're also a touch shorter on me, so if you typically wear birks in the regular width but with little room to spare lengthwise you'll want to size up for these. I've already worn them out and about with very little "noise" from my feet, but everyone walks differently and that could just be me. Either way they're cute enough to make up for that ;)

These are very cute sandals. I got lots of compliments on them and people asking if they where actually Birkenstocks. They where not hard to keep on while walking but they did make my foot sore where the strap was. It felt bruised on the top of my foot after three days of wearing them for many hours (and lots of walking). They are arch supportive and comfortable to stand in.

Love the look of the single strap Madrid, a little more femminine than the double strap. Right out of the box these were the perfect fit....was a little concerned about break in period etc...but as soon as I put them on they were amazing - wore them around the house in the evening, in the morning put them on after my shower and went for a 2 hour walk absolutely no sore spots at all; did not want to take them off. Would highly recommend Birkenstock sandals to anyone, feels like you are walking barefeet. Will definetly invest in a few more pairs in different colors. Sizing was good, normally wear a 9 - 9 1/2 ended up with the 41N and they are perfect. Can definetly notice the difference from the copy cat brands sold in Walmart etc....NO COMPARISON get the real thing you will not regret it :)

Exceptional quality, as expected from Birkenstock. My problem with the sandals was the elevated rim on the edge of the shoes near the toes. No matter what size and width I purchased, my toes would hit the rim. It annoyed me. But this might be my problem alone, as my 3 middle toes are actually longer than my big toe. I’m guessing if you don’t have this toe issue, they will be fine.

Based on some of these reviews, I think too many people purchase these expecting them to look like more expensive Birks without having to shell out too much money. If you want regular Birks, then you need to spend the money. These are made out of EVA (similar to Crocs material) and are meant to be just that... a more casual shoe that is water resistant and comfy with the fit of a traditional Birk. These are great for beach and pool days and very, very hot Florida summer days when I don't want the footbed of my regular Birks to get extremely sweaty or ruined by water. I did order a size down for these, usually I am a 6-6.5, but had to order the 5-5.5. I have these in black but also neon pink and I love both. I find they get more comfortable as I wear them. And the bonus is that I can wash these clean with soap and water.

I am a normal size 7.5 and ordered the 7-7.5 (38). What I got was significantly big on me in length and width, and the strap could not be adjusted to hold my foot in place. I ordered the same size of a different style of Birkenstocks directly from the manufacturer and they fit me fine. So these are just off.They also seem really rigid and not comfortable at all, but maybe they just need to be broken in. Needless to say, I am disappointed.To add insult to injury, I am being charged a free for the return and I have to package it up (not the typical easy Amazon return). The problem is the shoe box came in a soft sided envelope and it was crushed when I received it. So I now have to buy packaging just to return them!
