Daytona Helmets Eagle Headgear for Men - Novelty Half Helmet with Breathable Liner - Retro Skull Cap Helmet with Head Wrap

Already having multiple styles of full and 3/4 face helmets, I wanted something to compliment riding the Harley V-Rod Muscle during this hot, summer season. After visiting multiple cycle shops, I tried on many helmets of this style all being DOT rated but I just was not feeling the "flare or mushroom head look" for my medium build and large helmet size. While browsing Amazon, I found one person who posted pictures wearing the Daytona and since I like to make purchases based on the experience of others this helped convinced me to get one. Now my honest review. This helmet is very comfortable on top of my clean, shaved head and fits true to size. The quick connect/release is easy to operate even while wearing gloves and the strap holds it in place with no wind buffeting! I've pushed passed 100 MPH and no lifting. The only complaint is some pinching on top of my left ear from the buckle, so maybe a small piece of padding would help. This lid is NOT DOT approved but I suggest not using those deceptive stickers which could get you into extra trouble depending on were you live. Overall, the lid looks great and compliments my bike. It gets plenty of likes and attention but none from the County Bounty! I plan to get another in black-gloss.

This helmet is awesome my favorite half helmet I have had over the years. Super comfortable and love the adjustable easy click chin strap. I wear a 7 1/4 hat size and the Large was perfect. If you have a wide face/head you may want to go up a size as I have a narrow head. This helmet is constructed very well with high quality materials. The helmet arrived in 2 days and wore for the 1st time on a 520 mile ride mostly highway at 75mph and was comfortable the entire way. I highly recommend this product!

I worked in the Parts Department of a Texas Motorcycle Shop.. as such I have seen hundreds of motorcycle helmets from High to Low end. As far as mid level Novelty Helmets goes.. this is the nicest half pot helmet I have ever seen. The fit, finish, and build quality are excellent for what it is. The straps are properly placed to not interfere with your ears. Sizing was spot on with the advertised sizing chart. The interior padding/clothwork is excellent for a helmet in this category. I don't often write reviews on Amazon.. I was so happy with this purchase I could not help but feel obligated to express it here in the review section. The helmet came boxed and included a helmet bag and a complementary do-rag. I paid $39 including 2 day Prime shipping. A fantastic buy that comes with my hearty recommendation. I purchased from AirplaneGirl late in the afternoon and it shipped the same day. 5 stars across the board.. a true deal.

This fits very nicely and is very comfortable. I really don't like the slightly extended backside of the helmet...makes it look almost like some doofy French army helmet or some bicyclists wussy helmet or something. It *IS* lightweight and you'll forget it's on your head, and the straps are good and won't let it ride up on your head either. It allows one to wear sunglasses easily (or your prescription glasses) with no troubles.

This helmet is decently priced for a novelty. Fits good…it’s a bit snug at first but the foam will soften as you wear it more. The only thing that’s weird is the ear straps do not line up with your ears..they sit a bit forward…but I’m not super upset beings that if I crash, the helmet won’t do anything anyway. All in all, good purchase!

Before I ordered this helmet I ordered a $35 Chinese knock off. Where to begin... the strap was positioned wrong, the buckle was cheap plastic that popped open under the slightest tension, and the shell was so flimsy I could collapse it with one hand. Then I ordered this helmet from Daytona and the difference is night and day. The strap is perfect and sturdy, the buckle is a higher quality plastic ratchet that feels both secure and easy to manipulate with one hand, and the shell is definitely sturdier. Now let's be completely clear, this helmet is definitely not DOT compliant and will do very little if anything to protect your head in the event of a crash. If you're surprised by this, then you really should do some more research about motorcycle safety gear, and probably reconsider whether or not you should be riding in the first place. That being said if you're looking for something to keep the cops happy in a helmet law state, and something with a low profile and lots of biker attitude, this is absolutely worth the extra 20 some bucks over the cheap Chinese crap. Also a note on fitment, I listened to the reviews and went one size up from my normal helmet size and it fits perfect. I wear a small in both Bell and Scorpion helmets and a medium fits perfect. Snug enough that it's not going anywhere but not so snug as to give me a headache when I snap it on. All said and done I love this new helmet and highly recommend it for its intended purpose. Slap a DOT sticker on the back and enjoy the ride!

Great helmet. Very comfortable. Very fast shipping. Stated it came with a visor but there wasn't one. Would have gotten 5 stars had the visor been there!

I just purchased my second helmet and the first one lasted me seven years. Fits perfect, and does not look like a mushroom head..
