I picked up this power supply for an IOGear KVMR (GSM1942, a dual DisplayPort, 2 PC switch) that I bought used without any of the cables or the power supply. IOGear provided very little information about compatible power supplies on their website, only that it requires a 12V adapter with a center-positive barrel connector and, by the look of the inner connector of the jack, a 2.5mm hole. However, I found the HDMI version of this model (GSM1942H) has a rated power draw of a little over 3W. To save some search time for someone else: this power supply works great! In fact, it’s overkill for a device that pulls about 3W. For this particular use case, you should not have any issues with heat, noise level, or fit. Time will tell for durability, but the barrel tip fits right into the jack so it’s as easy to install as plug it into the device, plug the IEC cable into the brick, and plug the IEC cable into a power receptacle.

The power supply on my Sling TV Streaming / OTA TV Dual Tuner Box went bad and this power supply provided plenty of power to run it after I put it into service.

Stable replacement power supply for my need. It is replacing a lost shiatsu massager's power supply. It does not get hot even with all options running so that's a HUGE plus for me. My only "con" for this is the lack of UL certification. It meets RoHS and CE certifications, but RoHS focuses more on what materials use used in the device and CE holds a lower standard than UL for quality and safety. TLDR: Good power supply provided your device uses less than 36 watts.

It works great and has not given me any problems yet; however, it seems like the power supply is a little underpowered compared to my needs. I am using 2 12v 1.4a fans and so it should theoretically work but the fans start turning on and off when they exceed 85% speed probably due to not enough power. I recommend that you always get a power supply a little higher than your need so that you don't run into the same issue as I did.

My power supply died and was causing strange problems with my Ubiquiti Security Gateway, just blinking the console light. After research it was determined that the power supply died. Order this to replace it. It showed up quickly, plugged it in and BAM...was back up and running.

No issues at all with this plug for my cameras! Others constantly went out, this one seems very reliable!

Worked fine for our under-cabinet lighting for about 6 months and then suddenly loudly popped when turning on the light switch, and now no longer works.

Found this supply to be a great little power supply for use with an Ammoon Power Regulator used in a guitar pedalboard. The Ammoon regulator came with its own tiny 2-amp switching supply which would not allow my pedalboard to fully power up due to a power in-rush requirement that the small supply couldn't handle. I replaced it with this small 3-amp supply (AFTER reversing the polarity of this supply to match the original) and it works GREAT!

The size of the item isn't as described! It isn't 2.5mm it is 2.5cm. Returning asap.
