Perfect sound and fit under my Jeep TJ seat
This is the perfect addition to my Kicker speakers. They sound great and with the addition of the little 8” subwoofer, the overall sound is perfect! I don’t require mirror rattling bass, just enough to feel and get pumped and this thing works perfectly for that. For those of you with a Jeep TJ, you know how hard it can be to find the right speakers, head unit and even sub (6” sub just isn’t enough from the armrest. This sub is what you’re looking for. I turned the lows down to keep the 5.25s from distorting and clipping and put it all on this sub and boom. Instant great sound! I like to drive with the top down and even with road noise…what road noise?!, it sounds great. I don’t care about the brand name. As a matter of fact Boss has been around for 15+ years. They are inexpensive and work perfectly for Jeep owners. I would hate for it to get stolen, but it also wouldn’t hurt the wallet. My Jeep was vandalized a few weeks back and they left my Boss touch screen. Yeah I’m thankful people people find this brand undesirable. This Gen X’er just doesn’t care. If you’ve read this far, get this sub for your small vehicle with no space. Works best under the seat. I don’t think this is made for the trunk as you would get more sound with direct sound placement.

Quality bass supplement, not a window rattler.
Before you buy you must ask yourself; do you want to shake the car apart? or do you want to have a nice bass supplement more like a modern day upgraded stock stereo. This box performs well as a supplement. Its a small box but produces pretty decent bass. Is it a window rattler? No... If that is what you want buy a Solobaric 8 and build a box. Also, you must look into how to properly setup a subwoofer. Filters must be set right and yes your head unit does make a difference. Know the specs of your head unit and have a decent understanding (quick youtube) of what the specs mean.

Fair for the price and equivalent to OEM premium system bass
If you're looking to Cruise and Blast Bass this is not for you if you're looking for good enough bass compatible to premium OEM sounds systems this is it and a great bang for the buck. The negative reviews expecting a full size enclosure bass at this size and price are delusional

Worth every penny
I don't write reviews unless I really feel the need to. This little thing impressed me. No it's not gonna blow you out of the car but it only took an hour or so to install in my old suburban with factory head unit. I just tapped into the speaker wires and ran a power cable to it (power cable and fuse are not included in the kit by the way) but it sounds great. It's way more powerful than I expected. I just installed though, We'll see how long it holds up but it does seem well built. For an 8" sub I can fit under the seat. I'm very impressed so far.

Stopped working on month three
Sounded good for three months and just quit. Power light indicates its receiving power. Hooked up RCA cables to another unit and it worked fine. So if your willing to pay 45$ a month for this three month product, go for it. Sounds good when it works. What a waste of money though. Lesson learned, buy quality and avoid these issues.

Good for the money
Was easy to set up but just know that it does not come with any of the necessary wires other than the gain remote. Also I purchased for my 2001 Jeep TJ after reading reviews of how it would fit under the front passenger seat but the 8 inch option definitely did not. Ended up under the back seat though - that’s my fault for not measuring - all and all a good little subwoofer.

Doesn’t hit as hard as I thought
I installed this under the trunk floor of my Alfa Romeo Stelvio after doing some minor cutting to make space and holes for the wires to fit. It doesn’t thump as loudly as I had hoped. It could be that I was expecting similar performance compared to the 12” sub in my other car, and that since it sits under the trunk it’s muffled by the trunk floor cover. It’s still good value but the ease of installation will vary depending on what kind of car you install it in and whether you need a line-out-controller (LOC) or not (I didn’t need one for my installation. I can still hear the bass from the driver’s seat though which is a huge improvement over the Harman Kardon’s sub, which is pretty much useless, so I decided to keep it. My only problem with it is (and it might be an Alfa Romeo only problem) that it’s constantly on and may have contributed to killing my battery so I need to disconnect it if I don’t drive the car for a few days.

Easy to install, compact. Sounds good, not the loudest, but helps compliment a system.

Great lil sub. Had it hooked up to a loc at first and was just barely okay with the output. After a few tweaks I thought the sub should have more power. So I bought a JBL Celebrity 150. And what a difference. Give this sub some time to break in. It needs more than 3 + hours to even start to break in.

Very powerful for the size. Please note that it is only for base so you won’t get any mid end out of this. It’s pure for base rumble. It is a nice compliment for my existing stereo. In my instance, it didn’t work underneath the seat however if it works for you, that would be the best place to fit it.
