I have bought 3 of these lights over the last 6 months for salt water tanks. 2 were for gifts for other people, tanks are 5 gal, 20 gal, and 30 gal, all with fish and soft corals other varieties of life. These seem to work very well in different situations, the tanks are all well established before I used these lights, which means they have enough output to maintain the aquariums I'm sure I'll be getting these again.

What a bargain! I paid a fortune for my previous light which had a switch that stopped working before the lights went out. I have a 20 gallon Hexagon tank. I didn't need the extenders. I took them out and placed the light directly on the window cover. It's brighter than the one I replaced and spent more money on and the switch will last longer than the lights. The slider switch from my previous light was doomed to fail. I'm extremely pleased with everything about this light. If in doubt, just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Used on my 10 gallon planted, lights the aquarium well but the arms are removable and JUST long enough for my 10 gallon tank, I worry they will fall and the not-watersafe lights will be destroyed, harming my fish in the process. I would have preferred the arms be adjustable but not removable. I will size up if I decide to purchase again

the lights work as they are supposed to. But, this is very close to not being able to span even a 5 gallon tank. While it does work, you must be very careful as the little runners on it will pull out very easily and you will tank your light. The light does not cover the entire top of the tank, you will get light only in the middle of the tank. As long as you are careful it will work for what you need it to. Next time I think I will check out others that may be a little more on the stable side and I will ask what the dimensions of the light and only the light are, not the extensions but just the light itself. If that is in fact mentioned I must have missed it.

This light works just like described. If you want to bring out the full colors of your fish and aquarium, switch to the blue and white setting. We have an 80 gallon hexagon tank which is tall. The light is bright enough to light up all the way to the bottom and bring out the blue sparkle in the blue glass beads we have on the bottom. Our other light made the beads look greenish as well as other features in the tank. If you set on the blue setting, it makes a cool night light. The unit takes up 12" minimum space and then expands to be a little wider if needed. The width of the actual light unit is 11". I have it sitting on top of the glass cover. There if about 1.5" gap between the lights and the glass. It does not get the glass hot. I paid full price for this product. My review is completely unbiased.

Bought this light to replace a fluorescent hood fixture on my 20" aquarium hood, on which the ballast failed. Replacing the ballast would have been a production, and buying a new light fixture would have been more expensive than just buying a whole new aquarium hood. So even though I was skeptical about *this* light, having never used LED before, I figured it had to be better than nothing.It. Is. Amazing.So much brighter than my old fluorescent light. The white setting really brings out the colors of my plants and fish, and the blue setting is a nice option for dimmer lighter - I use it to mimic the darkness of twilight before I turn the lights off for the night. It's been on every day for over three months now, still going strong. And for a fraction of the cost of a fluorescent light that isn't nearly as effective! Absolutely recommend this product.

Eat your heart out Little Engine that Could!! This tiny fixture pack some serious "big fixture" quality light! I can't tell ya the actual ts or how many K the color is. But I can it outshines my Marineland LED fixture that's more than twice the length of this one with seriously about double the LED's too!!! Thinking outside the glass, water filled box, this light is awesome all over!! It produces so little heat that I was able to stick it under my coffee table using two sided tape and ¡Viola! Awesome under-lighting for eating your TV Dinner and then switch over to blue lights for nice soft ambient light while you relax and finish watching the show!! EXCELLENT for use as under cabinet lighting in the Kitchen or motor-home!! It's even better considering all the different lengths they're offering! TWO THUMBS UP!!!!Oops! I guess I should comment on it as an aquarium Light too! This little wonder WAS MADE for 5 gal aquariums! It brought a whole new world of colors out of my shrimp!! And that's full shade through established dwarf water lettuce!

Maybe 1/2 as bright as the kessil that I'm comparing it to (read below for more on that.)I'm into planted tanks, so that's what I bought this light for. Planted tank lights can get very spendy, and I was hoping this would be a similar quality/technology for less money. It's okay, but I'll still be buying expensive lights for my precious tanks. This is not in the same weight class.Overall, a good light considering the low price. I've added images to show the light from this LED strip compared to a Kessil Tuna Sun A160WE ($230 price tag).Photos: First image is with this light, the amzdeals LED. Second image (appears more green) is with a Kessil Tuna Sun A160WE. These images look equally bright, but that is not true to life. The camera adjusted to the brightness. The kessil is in fact much brighter.So, it's not as good as a fairly expensive light, but it's still a good deal for a strong light. If you're not looking to grow plants, it's probably more than you'd need and will make your fish look great.

Awesome light. I bought one and loved it so much, I ordered a second one. Uses less power than my old flourescent canopy.Two of these are perfect for my 55 gallon tank.I love the night mode.

Works well for my 5 gallon tank. It grows very hardy plants but wouldn't recommend it for much more than that. My tank is bright enough which is ultimately what I was looking for and is a sleek minimalistic design.

Plants seem to grow significantly more with the light. It lights up a 20 gallon tank nicely.Keep in mind that the 20g tank is 2 feet wide x 1 foot wide, so the light can only be placed across the 1 foot wide side.

This light works really well on my 5 gallon aquarium, very pleased with it so is the little frog who lives in the aquarium. The delivery was really quick also. Besides that the seller gives you an 18 month waranty that is good to know also.

Nice and bright for my 15 gallon tank. The blue light is very nice at night. 4 stars instead of 5 because the arms holding the light up is poor quality, always falling out when moved around other then that great product.

Awesome light, very energy-efficient and lights up my 37 gallon terrarium quite well. Would work very well on smaller tanks as well. Probably not strong enough for medium-high light requirement plants, but works great for displaying reptiles and fish.

First unit was defective but the seller replaced as soon as I contacted them and a new unit arrived within days. Great unit and perfect lighting for a small 15 gallon tank!!

Received on time as promised. I am a little disappointed with the adjustable length bars as they are loose, however, only time will tell.

Cheaply made and the legs would always fall out and the light would be too heavy for the legs to not sag. Returned

Very bright light. Grows lots of algae though. I am always cleaning off the algae on my tank and topper.

Working great after several months. Have for a 10 gallon planted tank, and all plants seem to be thriving; although slightly more algae growth than my old non-led lights. Had to adjust the legs slightly to work with the glass lid that I have though. Nice, and definitely bright!

I am dissatisfied with my light said it was blue and white lights only the blue lights work which makes its purpose not fulfilled as I bought it for having light to turn on when feeding the fish I guess it was an expensive blue light and I will be out my $30

Amazing for the price and works wonders for a 12" height nano cube tank! So well built too! Def recommending for all nano cube planted tank people. Just told my friend to order one too.

Two will do amazing for a 55 or slightly larger tank. But one is also very largely appreciated. Love it looks super great both at night and day.
