I purchased this for my daughter at the beginning of the school year. So far it’s stood up to the heavy load of books/folders/paper. It’s plain (matches* everything my 13 year old wears we got black/white) and her only complaint was that it might be a little small. (That being said, I had her re-evaluate what was really necessary to carry to school daily and she was able to downsize/make her pack lighter and found it less heavy/small).The lunch bag is insulated and it’s got plenty of room for a decent sized lunch for a growing 13 year old. I can easily fit a 16oz water bottle on its side or a thermos if she’s wanting a hot lunch. It’s plain—but stylish enough to not attract negative attention. (Middle school is rough).The small pouch included she uses for pads/etc when she’s got her cycle. It’s plain/discreet enough so she can pull it out and bring with her when she needs to use the restroom. She restocks/carries it her backpack and should a friend require help, she can do a hand off without anyone suspecting an issue -which can be embarrassing for 13 year old girls.Highly recommend.
