Would highly recommend for updating the cruze's stock unit.
The unit was installed in a base model 2014 Chevy Cruze. Installation was quick and painless. Took about an hour to install and all wires ran. I could not be happier with the purchase. I have been thru 2 cheaper units and had motherboard issues. I am glad I spent a little more for this unit and would highly recommend purchasing. The buttons work flawlessly and apps work with no lag. Still have to hook up dash cam and reverse cam but should be very easy. I like the stock look of the unit with touchscreen.

Don't impulse buy, IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!
Overall the unit is OKAY, not a fan of how the text rotates with volume and seek knobs, can't switch to farenheight, forced to use celcius. HVAC control bubble consistently pops up on screen EVEN WHEN HVAC IS NOT CHANGED. Besides the insanely low resolution not fitting 90% of apps on the market, this unit is OKAY, not worth the price asked, maybe 1/5 of original asking price. GPS antenna is a joke, you're better off not trying to mount it, glue is absolute garbage, I expect a full refund for the unit SIMPLY because of this one issue

Good once installed, but you'll be fighting with installation.
Once it's installed, it does most everything I need. But installation is a pain. The documentation is nearly worthless, and there are some things that are not obvious. The door and flasher chimes are on a separate speaker that goes... somewhere, I stuffed it behind the radio and I can hear it clearly. The gpf antenna has to be routed up through the dashboard. The antenna connections aren't labeled. I had to go back and forth with support a few times and they sent me helpful pictures. But once it's clear where everything goes, it does everything I need it to do. I haven't tested some of the edge cases yet, and I expect a few normally unused things won't work properly, but it does everything I need. You'll need a 10 (to disconnect the battery) and 7 socket, and panel separators. No other tools required. Which is nice. Took about two hours to get completely installed, including tearing it back down to finish the job after support pointed me in the right direction. I do like a lot of the functionality. I can do music streaming from the phone, navigation, etc. Everything works well and sounds really good. It has some useful built in apps too.. But the radio doesn't sound very good. AM is quite staticky. And the flasher chime sounds like a poor sample. And also, my DIC now speaks British English for some reason. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. All told, it was a good purchase, but be prepared to do a little research to get it properly installed. Oh, and don't sell your old radio. Keep it around, you might need it in the future, because while this can do most things, there are a few things only the OEM radio can do, and programming a new one is a pain.

Great upgrade
I've been looking to upgrade my 2013 Chevy Cruze factory radio for some time but I didn't want to mess with the factory look of the car. Most aftermarket head units keep the factory screen and change the old radio buttons for a touchscreen that leaves the setup looking clunky. This unit is great because it keeps the factory look of the car and offers a host of new features while also maintaining the functionality of the driver information center. The only complaint I have about the unit is that you can't change temperature units from celsius to Fahrenheit but that's a minor annoyance compared to all of the features on this radio. Absolutely worth the price to bring CarPlay to the first generation Cruze.

Bluetooth sucks
It is trash. I could never access music via Bluetooth. Backup camera never worked. Phone calls worked though. Contacted tech support and was told to update the software via SD card. Had to disassemble the device to remove it. Device would not read SD card. Could never get the audio to work aside from FM. Not even AM would work.

It’s pretty good
I think that this is the closest to factory looking radio. The Apple play is amazing to have in the Cruze. The price is rather expensive for what it is. It’s definitely got some glitches and just plain confusing sometimes. Like the brightness button taking me to the google maps. It changed all my words to European, like my truck is now called the bonnet, it changed my tire warning light to tyre, and all of my tempature are in Celsius and you cannot change it at all. Occasionally it will keep the top notification pinned when I am in CarPlay which is kind of annoying. The install was actually pretty easy, if you want to keep the factory hook up for the car play, gm uses usb for the connection to the inside of the glove box, it’s split is located behind the passenger side center console panel right by the air dam. The hook ups on the rear of the unit are extremely convient for adding a subwoofer to the car, no splicing needed. The adapter for all of the other stuff is a little in convient for install but it gets the job done. I would highly recommend as a modern upgrade to the Chevy Cruze radio

could not get one to work
Tech support is in China so email back and forth takes a while. First one did not work right and after a week of trying to fix it via software they replaced it. Second one worked fine for 1 day and started messing up. Returned it.

Better than expect
Boy oh boy. I bought a cheap android head unit first for About180 bucks, not satisfied I bought this one from sygav and I tell you what a difference it is. Apple car play is wireless so you don’t need to be charging your phone for it to work. It takes about 10 seconds for car play to connect but it works great. Screen is sharp, processing is fast and sound is crisp. Granted it’s only been 3 days but it’s been really good so far. If things change I will update review
