A total lifesaver with keeping my toddler out of the fridge!!
This lock has been an absolute lifesaver with keeping my toddler out of the refrigerator. It was easy to install and has been on both our regular & garage fridge for many months now and has been holding up great on both fridges.

Quick to install, Strong and Secure!
This latch was perfect for my upright freezer in my garage! It was quick to install, and holds on securely and strongly - I recommend it to anyone who needs a strong and secure latch to keep a freezer or refrigerator door from opening. It's meant for a system that has a single door that opens to the left or right (or an over/under style refrigerator/freezer) - so keep that in mind before purchasing. If you have a side-by-side, this latch may not work (maybe along the top edge, but I can't guarantee it either). In that case, a different latch would be better. In my case, I live in a hot area of the USA, and with these soaring summer temperatures, my wife and I worried about the food in our freezer shifting, and having the door open up - and leading to problems. We had this happen once before during the winter, and that was bad enough. I didn't do anything about it then - though I should have. I kept forgetting, but my wife reminded me again and I decided to look. This latch was perfect. Keep the parts together during the following process to ensure proper alignment! 1. Decide exactly where and how you want to place the latch, aligned so that the most tape will be stuck to the door. I found that the width of my door seal prevented me from being able to stick all of each tape segment for both pieces to the door - so I had to position it carefully so that the most part of the tape for each part was covered for the best adhesion. You may want to make some marks to help with this. 2. Clean the area of the door well where you want to put it - near the handle is best, but if you are trying to keep small children from opening the door, then position it higher where they can't reach it. Use alcohol wipes or a good cleaner; you want to remove all dirt and grease from the area so it will stick properly. 3. You'll only get one shot at this, because the 3M VHB tape is very strong (you won't be able to pull it off and reposition if you get it wrong - so do this carefully): Take off the red tape from the 3M VHB on both parts (keep them together!) - and stick it in place. That's basically it. The directions recommend waiting 24 hours before using the latch - so take out any food or whatnot you plan to use in 24 hours before installation. If you can't do that, then just be very careful when you are using the latch. The VHB tape is really strong, and it won't budge much, but after it fully "cures" in 24 hours - well, it ain't moving without some real effort. Don't worry about not being able to remove it - VHB isn't epoxy or super-glue - just extremely strong adhesive; it's used for automotive and similar applications for certain things that need to stay stuck strongly, even under high or low temperatures (I wouldn't expect VHB to work well below freezing or above 120F or thereabouts). So if you really needed to remove it, you can - it'll just take a lot of effort (and you'll need some kind of mineral spirits to remove the adhesive residue).

Freezer issues...
I actually bought this for a standup freezer. Once in a while, someone would bump into it, look at it wrong, or think about it as it set in the basement and the door would become just adjar enough to cause it to defrost itself after several hours, if not a couple days standing a crack open in the basement where it was not noticed. I thought for SURE this last time that it was the freezer breaking and that the compressor or something went out. Nope. It was just open. In frustration I picked this lock up. While it DOES work, and works great, it does not fully stick to the door and body. This is due to it being on a freezer, which has a wide gasket gap. I can hardly blame the lock for that though. It does what it needs to do, and was very easy to install. I just wiped the area down where I was going to apply it with a bit of nail polish remover to ensure it was clean, peeled the backing off, and pressed into place in the best position I could find for my door. Poof, works great. I did have to modify it prior though, cutting a tab off the rear of it to ensure it set on the door and body correctly. Again, freezer. All in all very pleased. It's doing exactly what it needs to be doing. Keeping the door shut unless I want to open it. Push on the buttons, opens fine. I'm done? Closes with a click. Have not had an issue since.

Strong Adhesive, Easy to Use, and Perfect for Toddler Safety
I got this safety lock to keep my daughter from opening the refrigerator, and it’s worked really well. It installs in seconds, no drilling or tools needed and the adhesive holds up firmly, even with frequent opening and closing. It’s simple for adults to release but completely secure against curious little hands. The gray color blends nicely with most appliances, and the design is low-profile so it doesn’t look bulky or out of place. It’s also easy to remove without leaving sticky residue when you’re ready to take it off. A practical and affordable solution for parents who want a little extra peace of mind around the house. Pro tip: press and hold the adhesive in place for about 30 seconds after sticking to ensure the best grip.

Worked well for about a year
My cheap (but new) rental fridge door kept popping slightly open. I looked for different options to ensure the fridge door would shut firmly, and using a child safety lock looked like the easiest way. It was generally easy to install the lock on the fridge. However, on my fridge, the piece that extends inward to the door seal was too long and that half of the lock wouldn't sit flush until I shaved down the plastic about an 1/8th of an inch--see the photo with the yellow circle. The lock worked well for me almost exactly one year (purchased in July 2021), but a few days ago, the adhesive strip came cleanly away from one half of the lock (as shown in the photo). I didn't have any trouble removing the adhesive from the fridge (so it is renter friendly). I'm hoping I can figure out a replacement adhesive strip so I don't have to buy a whole new lock.

Stick, Locked, Done. Easy, Secure 1 handed operation.
I doing a van to RV conversion for the first time. I bought a new refrigerator with a freezer. After driving and finding my food everywhere I had to find some type of lock that would work but would be a hindrance, as I live in my van full time. A lot of the options seemed to complex for day to day use. Don't want to have to pull out a key or a magnet every time I need to open the fridge. Didn't want something that required 2 hands to open, which would be a major inconvenience while cooking. And I didn't want any type of strap that dangles and scratches the fridge as it rocks back and forth over time..This product fit the bill, and it is pretty well made. Good strong adhesion 3M tape means my milk will be where I left it. It's a very intuitive and simple one hand process to open once you've trained your mind to remember it's there. It doesn't interfere with the operation of the door and there is no added effort required to close the door. The 2 parts slide together smoothly, with the fridge body part pivoting slightly outwards when open. This well thought out action allows the two parts to sink up smoothly by allowing the device to compensate for the arc of the door swing. Very basic, but very smart. My only issues is that I wish it was a bit longer so more of the door part attached to the door, and that it came in a 2 pack. Fridge and Freezer, need 2. Otherwise, does the job. I would recommend it if you're trying to keep gravity, babies, or drunk frat buddies from getting into your fridge.

Didn’t stick good. Only lasted 4 days and fell off
I love how it was super easy to install. I like how it was easy to lock and unlock. However, the stretch is not very good. I would literally have to push my weight on the fridge to get it to lock into place. Also, the adhesion didn’t last but 4 days and then it was done for. Very disappointed that it didn’t last long. It seemed to be great at first because my toddler couldn’t get in the fridge so it seemed awesome. But after 4 days it just fell off. It didn’t come with extra 3M adhesion so that sucked. I guess I’ll have to just chalk it up to money wasted and go get a different brand.

I wouldn't buy again, but it's ok
It's not long enough. I bought it for my upright freezer because the top doesn't seal well. The seal is, in my opinion, a fairly standard size seal, and if you use it as depicted in the listing photos it does NOT reach from the fridge body to the door. The second issue is that my freezer door is not exactly level with the body-it sticks out just a tiny bit farther, maybe a quarter inch. This makes it not line up to latch. I fixed both issues by gluing 2 pieces of 1/8" balsa craft wood together and then gluing that to the back of the fridge side piece (remove the adhesive first). I used gorilla super glue. Then I used some command strips to attach it to the freezer in the correct place. This solution works very well (though I used super cheapy command strips and will probably just super glue it to the fridge when they fail) but I give 3 stars because it doesn't work right out of the package and others may not have these supplies on hand like I did. It's also not the most aesthetically attractive solution, though it's a garage freezer so I personally don't really care about that. I would go with a different product if I needed to replace this. Update: I wound up gluing the fridge side piece to the fridge later that day. Today, about a week later, the adhesive (that came on the product, not the command strips I was using) on the door side failed and I had to super glue that as well. So all in all, if you aren't willing to do a lot modifications and permanently affix it to your fridge, go with something else.

Asegura la puerta de la nevera
Hace su función pero he tenido que añadir cinta de doble cara para poner a nivel la puerta con la estructura de la nevera porque no encajaba. Por lo demás funciona correctamente.

Still working perfectly after 4 years.
I first bought this clip in 2021 for my freezer because the door didn't swing shut and close properly. It's still working fine, still stuck on and has saved me a lot of hassle with ice building up inside the freezer. I've just purchased a second one to use on the door of my fridge because, again, the door isn't swinging shut properly. Excellent product, would highly recommend.

It works thats what matters.
You know.. when you lose a freezer of food, you start to think what options are there for this not to happen again. I chose this. Yes there are alarms, but they do not necessarily work. Or are not loud enough. The reason ours failed.. someone did not close the door properly. This inexpensive but durable item fixes that problem. What this is…its a latch. It locks the door when you close it. And The freezer cant be opened unless you push in the sides. So now when one opens the door, they have to push the two buttons in, and when you close it, you listen to the click, then when you hear the freezer sealing, everything is gold. Originally I was going to return it as our freezer door seal is thicker than pictured in Amazon's photo. I dont know of any seal on a freezer that is that thin. So i had to maneuver it differently so the two pieces would meet as thats how it clicks together. Either way, happy with the product. It does its job. I may get a thermometer down the road that alerts if it get to warm in the freezer. But I would use it in conjunction with this.

BUEN PRODUCTO
